Road Tyre vs Track Tyre Teaser...

This is the second teaser we've published for this road vs track tyre report, but instead of just a pretty photograph this time we actually reveal some of the data we collected.

The venue, Donington Park in Derby. The contenders - the Kumho V70a and the Toyo T1R. As promised we won't go into too much detail this time, but check out this lovely overlay from google earth showing apex speeds and G readings on each of the tyres.

We'll save revealing the total time advantage of the track tyres until the full article - we've got to give you something to come back for after all. Guesses in the comment section would be really interesting to get an understanding of how much time people think sticky track rubber is worth.

As you were doing over 5mph faster on the V70a in 2 of the big turns I think close to 10 seconds over the toyos...
