180/50 17 Tyre Review Highlights

Michelin Power 5 rated 51% while driving a Yamaha MT 07
Driving on mostly country roads for 1300 spirited miles
I’ve installed this tyre on two of my bikes with strong engine braking, the front tyre feels sketchy and most of my mate at least on one occasion said that they almost lost the front tyre, the rear tyre squares off after 2.5k kms and has almost no grip on the middle strip. I’ll never buy this tyre again and give Michelin thumb down on this failure. I have the Power GP on one of my bikes and I take my hat for it, I hope Michelin have improved the Power 6 tyre otherwise I’ll be only using Power GP for now.

Pirelli Diablo Rosso II rated 74% while driving a Yamaha FZ6
Driving on a combination of roads for 5200 spirited miles
Lasted 5200 miles on my FZ6. Fantastic grip in the dry, never let go, even riding with guys on sportsbikes.
All I didnt like was front tyre profile was a bit 'pointy', meaning it turned in a bit to quick on a naked bike. When the tyres got to 4000 miles, the rear was fairly squared off, but the front had worn more at the edges, making turning in not that smooth.
I have this week changed to Bridgestone BT023, which make the steering slower, but suits my riding style and bike much better

Bridgestone Battlax BT 021 rated 96% while driving a Suzuki GsxR 600
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
i"ve only been riding for 2 years now,but i have done some miles,i"ve done around 45k,and it"s Bridestone every time for me,they have never let me down yet(touch wood)....Ha,they do what there meant to do and that means stick to the road and keep you on the bike,i ride very hard and i use all of the tire,i go out with a lot of experienced riders who also like to ride hard, and with Bridgestone 21s i feel just as confident as they do,and also to be honest i don"t really ride that much in the rain, but when i do i take it easy (i think) Ha and again there doing a perfect job ...............Defo recommend this tire

Bridgestone S20 rated 97% while driving a Honda CBR1000RR10
Driving on a combination of roads for 80 average miles
took the new 2012 fireblade out for a spin on a test ride, fitted with the new S20 tyres on dry roads on a warm day over various road surfaces, I was amazed at how well the bike behaved, weather its down to the new tyres or the new suspension package on the bike, they worked pefectly, there was no effort in tipping the bike over, the tyres and suspension made the bike blend into the road, smoothed out all the bumps, it was like gliding over a racetrack the ride was so smooth, id hammered the bike to 185 only to be told later that its been ridden to 195 by one of the Hondas mechanics, but the speed i carrried through the bends was insane, the grip and feel of the bike was so confident inspiring, id been yanking the throttle trying to spin the rear tyres and slamming on the rear brake, but i was on the ABS model and could not get the tyres to let go, i couldnt push the past there limit, even though id been dragging my knees for several corners, in a straight line all i could manage to do was my the bike rocket its front wheel into the air, none of the Honda team could comment on the life span of the tyres, but after id ridden the bike and checked the tyres, there was hardly any marbles or scrubbing on the tyres even though id ragged it silly, i currently ride a cbr1000rr 7 with the bridgestone battlax BT023's as i do alot of long distance rides, but if the S20's turn out to have the life span that bridgestone claim they do, id deffinatly have them on my bike as they were an amazing addition to the new blades handling.
