200/55 17 Tyre Review Highlights

Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV rated 97% while driving a Aprilia Tuono 1100RR
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
Front-only review. I switched from DR3 front to DRIV four on the front, DR3 on the rear still had life left. They go well together, will replace the rear next month. I thought the DR3 was the finest tire I had ever ridden in my 3 decades of riding, and the 4 is noticeably better! sticks like glue, even when brand new. Warms up quick. Solid in rain, better than my 3. Extremely predictable as I push my lean angle limit -- on this tire, farther than I've done in my career. And it's all due to the tire 'wanting more lean' all the time! very predictable and super grippy, smooth progression-- seems to suit the Tuono's handling needs really well. I've had issues on Michelins and especially Metzelers, where the front will tell you when to stop your lean -- the 4 just keeps saying "give me more!" It almost seems to grip better, the farther over I go. Remarkable.

Michelin Power 5 rated NAN% while driving a Ducati
Driving on mostly country roads for 6500 spirited miles
Tyre felt really good with plenty grip even before full scrub in. Warms up really quickly and feels good even with low road temperatures. In comparison my super corsa's always felt like they lost temperature and grip very easy in colder weather. Had no nervous moments in the dry and only one in the wet being a little too enthusiastic will the throttle. Managed to get 6500miles out of the back before squaring off, whilst the front looks good for another 6k. Have purchased again for the new season.

Continental ContiSport Attack rated 66% while driving a Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 factory
Driving on mostly country roads for 1500 spirited miles
If you want longer life from a tyre, do not buy the sport attack 4. Excellent cornering grip and feel, not to shabby in the wet either. Very stable under hard breaking. On the track this tyre is not out of it's depth. The life span of the tyre was very disappointing, By 1100 miles it was down to the wear markers and by 1500 miles the centre of the tyre had disintegrated completely down to the cables. I think I will be going back to the road attack three, they offer above average feedback and performance and the mileage is usually at least 4500 miles.

Continental ContiSportAttack 2 rated NAN% while driving a Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 factory
Driving on mostly country roads for 6200 spirited miles
They are great though I am a smooth driver but have high speed in the corners, also on track but most on road. They last pretty well. 6500-7000km.
They are not so bad in wet conditions as many people say, Have tried many different tires and find that the SportAttack2 are in the top.
The handling of the bike is very nice, have never had any surprises and the bike takes you where your thoughts are. You don't have to struggle or push to get the bike where you want it to be. ¨VeryNice¨.
The comfort, what can you say, ¨awesome¨
Will certainly bay again, but also try others in between, to get a wider perspective and knowledge.
Driving in Swedish weather conditions.

1500 miles dry summer use on these . Massively confidence inspiring when turning in as they give more feeling of grip the more you lean . Loved em and will definitely buy again

Michelin Power RS rated 92% while driving a
Driving on for 0 miles
Think I may have found the holy grail of tyres . Ridden my tuono v4 like I stole it for 1900 mlies on these and I am really impressed. The feedback on the limit is telepathic like they tell you their about to slide , you push further and they slide in a lovely controlled way. I have ridden on supercorsas , s20s . Sport attack 2 s and never got more than 1400 miles out of them but the power rs still has tread left at 1900 and will go past 2000 easily. My bike runs a 200 section which take some bottle to run right to the edge but the power rs will do it which I put down to the confidence inspiring feedback .

Pirelli Diablo Corsa III rated 86% while driving a Honda CBR1000RR10
Driving on mostly country roads for 0 spirited miles
Ridden a variety of tyres over the years on this bike, 87 thousand kms now. Experimented a lot and have found the 200/55 rear with standard front on the Fireblade a great combination. There is so much grip and lean on these tyres. they track true through the bumps which can be bad on some of the smaller windy roads in Finland. I push them well on the corners in the dry and slight wet with no stepping issues but I take it easy when there is decent surface water.
Those who find they slip on them, be sure to have cold pressures at 32psi front and rear for spirited solo riding.
Find many problems come from over inflation with tyre traction issues.

Avon Storm 2 Ultra rated 77% while driving a Kawasaki zx12r
Driving on mostly motorways for 9000 spirited miles
wet grip is almost a joke, steady throttle at 90mph on zx12r in the rain and there was slip/wheel spin apply enough throttle to overtake in the same conditions and rev counter red lines.9000miles on this set and still going strong so shouldn't complain about the grip, front feels vague in the last 5-7mm of chicken strip on the road with the odd controllable slide; also front felt like the bike had ABS when hard on the brakes as tyre would slide then grip chirping like a bird.

Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa rated 76% while driving a Honda CBR1000RR10
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 spirited miles
On CBR1000RR 2009 - excellent on dry weather and track use, experience couple of slides in wet condition. the tropic condition in my country makes added to the wear and tear (with frequent track days)nevertheless, the diablo supercorsa sc2 is really worth buying for track hardcore
