285/35 18 Tyre Review Highlights

Nitto NT555 G2 rated 63% while driving a Ford Mustang GT Convertible
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 spirited miles
These tires perform best when you can get them hot. Under 60 degrees (F) they are noticeably slicker, I only run these tires in the late spring and summer. These tires have a fairly rigid sidewall so don't expect them to ride like a grand touring tire. The amount of feedback in the tire is pretty good. I found these tires like to pull the car into the ruts of the road. I get the tires spinning pretty often at intersections and in parking lots and so far haven't had any excess wear or chunking issues. You can get away with the speed limit in light rain, but in moderate and heavy rain you will be going at least 5-10 mph under the posted speed. Expect the rear end to slide out often and expect fairly long stopping distances in the wet.

Pirelli PZero Nero rated 59% while driving a Nissan Skyline R32 GTR
Driving on a combination of roads for 3500 spirited miles
They felt good when new, although their grip was so-so for a 285 tire. After one track day the tires melted and are heat cycled out. Tons of tread left, but useless as they now have zero grip. Will not buy again, and do not recommend.

Nankang NS2 rated 40% while driving a Porsche 996 911 Carrera 2
Driving on mostly motorways for 2000 average miles
This is the rear tire with about 80% life left. The manufacturing date is 2010 but I rarely use the car so only 20% treadwear. At 100km/hour, the rear tire burst on a straightaway. No signs of road hazard etc. Good thing our was the rear or I could have met grave accident. Replaced all remaining 3 after that.

Yokohama ADVAN Sport rated 39% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS 350 AMG
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
I've been using this standard fitted tyres on my car for three months and i hate it, it has a appalling ride and goddamn it it's very noisy, 30 miles per hour in town and I cant hear the audio. Very disappointing.
