I thought buying a big name brand I'd be getting a tire that would last more than 4000 miles. The rears are almost down to the indicator. These are on a mustang which has been babied since I got it,no burnout,no linelocks. Just normal driving. They are also horrible in the rain to the point that 40mph is all I will go on wet surface. The car is all over and it's not because it needs an alignment. Definitely will not buy again.

Came with a SL350 with 317 bhp and rear wheel drive, bought in July 2021. So I have been through all four seasons of the UK and not really had any concerns. I was a little worried about the winter with these tyres having read the reviews here. I have had lot of mid-high power cars and always bought premium tyres. Unfortunately something is not right on car, likely it is just the 4 wheel alignment which has caused excessive inner wear on the rears. Resulting in an MOT failure and urgent purchase of two tyres to pass the MOT. I saw no point in paying for premium tyres until the set up of the car/alignment is corrected. So I bought two more of these Accelera. Apart from the wear on the extreme inner of the tyres the rest of the tread across all four is still very good and looks set to last more than another year with ease. What can I say, £90 vs £200-£300 a corner. My last two cars were £350 a corner. I can honestly say that the premium tyres are NOT £200 better at all. Within the local Porsche club I have a reputation for being one of the fastest drivers, competing even against GT3s, GT2s, Turbo and Turbo S 911s. Do I think these tyres are as bad as some people say here. Not at all. Do I drive the SL350 like I do the 911 on the track, no not at all. I've had a couple of moments of lost traction on these tyres, but nothing that was not immediately corrected by the car and nothing that has ever given me cause for concern. I have had far worse experiences with premium tyres on the 911 at £350 a corner than the Accelera have ever caused. Definitely worth the money. Are conti sport contacts/bridgestone potenza S1 worth so much more. I do not think so. Are the premium tyres better, yes undoubtedly, but not worth three times the price.

I have tried (Nitto 555) previously, it was better than (Invo).

No, I did not get 90,000 miles from these. Well, I did, that that was five sets of them. I guess you could say I like these tires. In the wide size my car uses, they tend to get a bit skiddish on wet roads. I do NOT want to hit standing water in the road - but that's largely a function of the wide tire size on my car and not necessarily an indication of a poor tire.

If I drive VERY mildly, I can get 33,000 miles from a set. In fact, my first set lasted 33,000. But these days, I drive the car like a sports car and with all the curves in the Smoky Mountains (USA) I get around 15,000 a set. They really do handle the curves well for a mid-priced tire.

My car is a convertible and the best part about these tires is how QUIET they stay. I've ran at least three sets down to slick and they just don't make any noise. There are better tires, but I don't believe I have the driving skill to require better tires - even well above the speed limit on curvy mountain roads. My point: If you are the average driver, these tires will be fine. If you are a bit spirited behind the wheel, try a set. If you are a real pro and drive a sporty car - I'd bet you wo'nt find them to your standards.

My car is modified with about 600bhp and there is not a tyre made that will not break traction with this set up, however , the Vortis are a good bit better than the Continental Contact Sports I have on mother set of wheels and overall I have been stunned by how good they have been.

I read a negativeish review of them on here form another AMG owner, but I would simply say I have got a radically different opinion and I think it is probably a difference of expectations. As I said I can still break traction, but only be being a hooligan with the car.

Wear hasn't been great, but it was never going to be given the car and they have worn no worse than the Contis or the Dunlops before them. Progressiveness is very good indeed and overall I am mighty impressed for the cost. Put it this way another set will be going on when these have finally worn out!

Changed into these from Conti's and love them so far. Not had them for long therefore not sure about wear, however grip is phenomenal. Harder compound than the Conti's so ride is abit harder but give alot more confidence in the corners. A must buy for performance cars

On a Corvette C6, so tyre size shown is for the rears; also had 245/40R18 88Y on the front. They're the OEM tyres, and I've just come to the end of my second set at 26K miles (so each set lasts about 13K miles). Dry grip is pretty good, but I've marked it down because dry traction is poor as the tyres get worn - even 2nd gear launches (auto!) will light up the rears. In the wet, the grip and traction is poor...especially so in cool weather. I have driven in the snow on them, and it's not as bad as you'd think...although a lot of that is down to having and LSD and an autobox that will let you creep off in 3rd gear. They're fairly progressive, and the wear is reasonable for a high-performance tyre. They're not too noisy, but the ride is harsh - I'm sure that's largely down to them being run-flats, but the second set seems worse than the first. I'd only buy them again if there was no option (and actually in Europe there aren't many options!). Based on reviews here, I'm about to fit a set of Pirelli PZero runflats so watch this space!
