Tracmax X Privilo TX3 rated 68% while driving a BMW X5
Driving on mostly country roads for 0 miles
Have 285 on rear of X5 255 on front. I am getting a shudder when accelerating. Was to bmw and thought maybe transfer case then egr valve. All testing fine. They are now saying tyres sending wrong info to transfer case and if I change tyres this will be sorted. Time will tell.

No option but to give bottom scores on everything for this tyre. I'm a small motor trader so I tend to see a fair few different brands and models of tyres come in, these were freshly fitted on an E53 X5 I bought in from auction.

On the drive back, the tyres felt fine - not particularly noisy, not the *worst* tyres I've ever driven on, but push the car a little and you could feel them give out pretty quickly.

However, on the journey back, I started to notice a grumble from the front left - which I assumed was a wheel bearing - until I then heard the same noise coming from the opposite corner. Got the car back to work, popped it onto the ramp, and got the joy of seeing first hand an almost continuous bulge having developed on two of the tyres, with small bulges already apparent on the other two - for context, these tyres were correctly inflated, less than a year old on DOT codes and the manufacturer paint markings were still just about visible - avoid these tyres like the plague as from reading reviews on here, this isn't the first instance of these Powertrac tyres doing something like this.

Driving on mostly country roads for 6000 average miles
Bought my X5 with these tyres on the rears with 6mm of tread. Had never heard of them before and on my cars I always fit Continental Rainsport 3s wherever possible with their outstanding grip, wet or dry.
I've done 4,000 miles now and the tread is down to 3mm already so not at all long lasting. In the dry they are reasonable but pushing on at a roundabout and the rear never seems planted.
However, in the wet it is a different story. They are absolutely lethal with virtually no grip even on a moderately wet surface. Taking a mini roundabout at 15mph and the back end slid across the road no problem at all. White van man behind had to take avoiding action.
Fitting Avon ZX7s shortly.

Avon ZX7 rated 53% while driving a BMW X5 3.0d Sport
Driving on mostly motorways for 5000 easy going miles
Dont rate these Tyres at all, rears only lasted 5000 miles on a BMW X5 and I am not a hard driver. Previously used Michelins Diamaris which where in the 20,000 mile range, which makes the Avons a very expensive tyre

Maxxis Marauder II MAS2 rated 87% while driving a BMW X5 3.0 diesel
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 average miles
Had a pair fitted to the rear of my BMW X5, first thing that was evident was the noise, much quieter than my old tyres, very sure footed on the twisty bits. I have Goodyear Eagles on the front with 6mm tread left on, I will replace these with Marauders when they wear out. So far very impressed and glad I choose these.

Davanti DX640 rated 53% while driving a BMW X5 3.0d Sport
Driving on mostly town for 5000 average miles
i bough 2 rear tyres, DX640 on the 25th Oct 2016, mileage 106,400 for my BMW x5. Seller stated that were good value and right for the vehicle. Having now done 112,000, less then 6,00 miles and a failed MOT for insufficient thread on both rear tyres beginning to question whether they are what the hype and reviews make them out to be. Certainly wont be purchasing any more in the future, definitely wont be recommending them either.

Michelin Latitude Sport 3 rated 90% while driving a BMW X5 4.4i
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
Legendary grip on dry, i have yet to discover its grip limits on wet on a heavy X5. The tyre can put any horsepower on the ground and breaking is beyond belief. The feedback from the tyres is firm and at no occasion handling is gone. The tyre warns you in advance and under normal sport driving conditions will always behave nicely.
Wear rate could have been better I guess but having done 20k in town/motorway the tyre is still very good and predictable. Just a bit less effective on wet. On dry roads, it will have to wear off to the alloy wheel to loose grip.
Comfort level is OK on the basis that there is no noticeable noise.
Have always fitted Michelin's and I would only fit Michelin's again. I am sure that other tyres maybe equally good (probably GoodYear Eagle F1 Assymetric) but I would highly recommend this tyre.

Hankook Ventus ST rated 91% while driving a BMW X5 e70
Driving on a combination of roads for 24000 average miles
Overall very impressed with these tyres. Opted to change from the Bridgestone runflats that are standard on the BMW X5. Dry grip is very good, wet grip is above average. The other major benefits are they are notably more quiet than other tyres I've used and seemed to last longer than others (rear bias on my car and the rear tyres lasted 24,000), that's impressive considering most of my miles are fast motorway driving. A lot of people don't realise these tyres are actually all-weather tyres so they cope well with snow should it come! I would definitely buy again, good value for money compared to others too.

Hankook Ventus ST rated 80% while driving a Volkswagen Touareg
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 average miles
Mine were the Hankook RH06 versions. Got over 35000 miles out of them with nice even tyre wear. Compare that to the 12000 miles I got out of continentals.
Great grip in dry, above average in wet. Also capable in mud.
Not noisy and also cheap. What's not to love about them?

General Grabber UHP rated 59% while driving a BMW X5 3.0d Sport
Driving on mostly motorways for 24000 average miles
Had Diamaris all round which were fine for 3 years, but budgets got tight, and ?250 per coner for Mitchelin was steep.

So choose the General Grabber UHP. They looks good, rougher/tougher more , agressive and I paid (17/3/09) almost ?500 fitted for 285/45/R19 W at back and 255/50/R19 W at front.

First I noticed the road noise is greater than the Diamaris and then as they wear they went out of balance quite badly.

However, 15 months & 27000 miles later there is still pleaty of tread on th front pair, but the rear pair were almost due for replacement 14 months & 25000 mile.

So one last road trip and at 27000 mile the rears' outside edge still had 4.5mm of tread and the middle 3.2mm, but major inner shoulder wear, due to the X5 negative camber for road holding, they demanded replacement.

All in all not bad alternative to Diamaris, better for off road, noiser on road, prone to balancing issue during wear. Will wear quicker on the rear but you'll save ?300 ~400 fitted.
