225/35 20 Tyre Review Highlights

Landsail LS288 rated 38% while driving a Jaguar XK 4.2
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 average miles
I check tyre pressures weekly but both front tyres began to leak in many places on the sidewall - tyres on car when purchased and gone back to premium brands.

Driving on mostly motorways for 10000 average miles
Started having an issue with judder from nearside front on a long trip to South coast, thought I had wheel balance issue.
Took it into a local garage on my return only to find huge bulges on the inside edge of tyre, could have been nasty at 70mph plus!!!
Bought this VW Transporter with these crappy Powertrac Cityracing tyres from a V.W. dealership in Leeds which I am a little surprised about.
Having tyres changed immediately and will try sending an invoice to the V.W. dealership to cover the cost.

Powertrac CityRacing rated 14% while driving a Ford 05 Mondeo 185 (modded) diesel
Driving on mostly town for 5000 miles
I recently bought a brand new transit custom with 20inch rims. I’m Totally aware that the sizes arnt ideal however after 5000 miles I had 2 blowouts on the fronts. Costing me over £700 to call out emergency tyre replacements. I don’t drive erratically or fast ( luckily ) and am disgusted with the situation. On both occasions I was driving on normal road surfaces and well under speed limits ( luckily ). I’ve since read reviews on the powertrac tyres and reviews are very concerning about this manufacturer. On both tyres the inner side wall has literally just popped. I’ve not even done 5000 miles yet. Stay away from this manufacturer. I’ve also contacted my van supplier and suggested they don’t fit their vehicles with this product. It turns out the tyres are relatively cheap but look good. Which is no hood to anybody if they randomly pop and breakdown with minimal use. Awful

Bought these tyres thinking they would be like any other tyre, hell was i wrong DO NOT BUY THESE TYRES my car swerves on motorway and feels like im in a boat Very dangerous especially with kids if you are suicidal it makes sense to buy them and you will save a bit of money also but if you want to have a few years of life please avoid your traction control will also be working overtime, i have had them on my car 1 week and have ordered new pirellis in will be changing today.

Kumho Ecsta PS71 rated 40% while driving a BMW 420d M Sport X Drive
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 average miles
Bought as an “upgrade” from lower mid range tyres. Whilst handling and grip is fine under normal driving conditions there is lots of road noise at any speed which is a bit tiring on longer trips but acceptable. However, they are terrible at motorway speeds from 71-76mph, droning that is very intrusive to the point I though I had a wheel bearing going. Removed after 3000 miles as I couldn’t stand it any longer. Swapped to some nangkang NS-2 which are considerably cheaper and possibly seen as an inferior brand but instantly cured my road noise and droning problems.. please don’t waste your money on these!

Zeetex HP1000 rated 100% while driving a Toyota Camry
Driving on mostly motorways for 117000 spirited miles
I recommend this 100% I have after market rims and my car is lowered down with bc coilovers. The only tire I've used that compared to this near perfect tire was Yokohama s drives. I have used both. On my third time to buy be tires I chose the Zeetech again instead of the Yokohama because footer the value. Zeetech was more affordable than the overpriced Yokohama. I drive from an average of 60 miles a day. Mostly highway. Anyone who tells you that this tire isn't high quality and long lasting must have forgotten to get their alignment done. This is my second set and I want to thank whoever decided to get it made in this size. Thank you. Have a safe day. And remember, Alignment is the 🔑 to a safe set of tires rain or shine I feel safe with my family. Yes. Daily driven, slammed, with tires that can support all the modifications of your car.

Nexen N Fera SU1 rated 82% while driving a Volkswagen Golf
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 spirited miles
I shopped around, did my research based on performance and particularly wanted a balance of low noise and low rolling resistance plus was limited by my tyre size on my i8 wheels but of all the options including Goodyear, Continental and Dunlop, these scored high on paper only short of the Goodyear Efficientgrip and were less than half the price of the primes above and better than all mid-range tyres on price and paper.
I'm so glad I went with the Nexen N'Fera SU1, although they have 10% less sidewall than the Bridgestones before, they have a smoother ride on fine sharp surfaces (man holes, repaired tarmac, concrete joints etc) and are hugely quieter, almost silent below 30mph which is fantastic for my car in electric mode, its near silent.
The tyres are also lighter in weight helping steering reaction in spite of their size and in every aspect improving and helping the suspension to perform. I've even noticed as a result that my front top mount is worn which was indistinguishable with the harsh and loud Bridgestone's before.
My GTE has a capacity to lay down torque ~300ft.lbs in a go and even flooring it on wet roundabouts' hen the inside would break traction the car steered well and the drift/understeer was very controllable and correctable. I'm very impressed by the progression and control given the price range if the tyre.
I absolutely would recommend these and no doubt will be getting a new set in no time due to the mileage I do. Right now though they have only done a few miles so still fresh.
