Accelera Beta Reviews

Given 99% (breakdown) while driving a Citroën C4 (205-50-17-W)
Driving on mostly motorways for 12,000 average miles
I usually buy Falken, thought I would try these as have read some good reviews elsewhere. The Betas were about £20 less than the Falken's for each tyre.
Grip in the dry and wet is perfectly good and the car feels very confident to drive. The noise is also very good as they are quiet.
The wear rate is very good and are lasting better than any other tyre I have tried so far. My only slight negative mark is there is maybe slightly less grip on roundabouts in the wet where the road is greasy, but this maybe not much different to any tyre. Great value for money and I will buy again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
I had inherited a brand new set of these. Greasy and wet roads a challenge and they lose pressure quicker than others. Breaking ok however my car only weighs 900kg. Traction bad. Winter performance terrible. If your after a cheap tyre the mid range Falken ZE912 is ideal for normal drivers on UK roads as they have better all season performance. If your spirited driver on a budget the mid range Kumo KU31 would be better bet.

Given 96% (breakdown) while driving a Ford Focus (205-50-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 8,000 easy going miles
Previously I'd always had fitted Continental or Pirelli fitted and was a bit dubious about these but what with having to make cut backs due to the wife losing her job etc. Anyway very happy and would/will have again, even the wife commented positvely on them. Due to my sat nav on shorest route setting ending up going through the 'Hardknot Pass' [look it up!] with them while it was bucketing it down and they didn't worry me at any point.

Driving on mostly town for 3,000 easy going miles
These tyres would be a good budget purchase if it wasn't for a horrific grip on wet surfaces! I can't really complain about them in dry conditions, but as soon as rain falls the car turns into soon-to-be-a-coffin-mobile. It aquaplanes even while doing 15-20 mph on the roundabouts making me think it is the last roundabout it my life...
