Achilles Platinum Reviews

Given 99% (breakdown) while driving a Honda CIVIC 1.6 VTEC (185/60 R14) on mostly motorways for 40,000 spirited miles
Dry grip excellent

Wet grip excellent felt like driving on dry

Road feedback good

Progressiveness excellent

Wear is excellent

Comfort is good compound is soft but not very soft

Would buy again and again excellent tyre but if prices is close to Hankook V concepts or Kumho Ecsta Lx Platinum KU27 get those instead

Have about 40000km on the tyre so far very reliable for commuter and occasional spirited driving, another 10000km and time to change

Given 39% (breakdown) while driving a Honda Civic (165/70 R13) on mostly motorways for 2,000 spirited miles
Bought the tires for 1991 Civic (USA). Of the 4 tires I bought, 1 could not be balanced (off-centered tire?) no matter how many times it was tried to be balanced on rim. Tried both static and dynamic balancing to no avail. Vibrations in wheel whenever the car was driven at 60-70 mph. Less noticeable vibrations at lower speeds.
