The tire is absolutely great! But probably depends on which type of car you drive them... I can suggest them 100% for impreza, and/or probably for others similar (awd) cars.

If you want know what word "grip" really means then buy this tyre. It is excelent choice while you are running on the edge and if you are not thinking about tyre wear. I drove these tyres for about 2000 miles 70% of almost track racing and some drifting and sides are now almost smooth. Center has a lot of rubber but I think they will last next 5000 miles max. If you are going with normal/agressive style for 50/50 they could do about 10-15k miles but you will be very happy after every faster corner and that is what they were built for.

I bought the car used, and wanted the orginal spec tyres to go with it, instead of the fitted cheap nankang tyres.
These tyres litteraly transformes the car into a supercar in corners.
The have tons of grip, and give almost unbelievle G's through bends. I could have mistaken them for trackday tyres like toyo R888, when it comes to dry grip.
It is also very easy to feel when you are approching the limit for grip, as the first understeer mildly before oversteering.
The ride is a bit harsh and stiff, but that is possible to live with.
The worst part of driving with these tyres is the noise. They actually produce as much noise as my studded contnetal wintertyres, when the winter tryes are driven on bare tarmac.
But the Re070 are all about preformance, not comfort.
I also think they would be a great combo for both daily and trackday driving.
I'm driving these on Norwegian roads. Norwegian roads are pretty poor, at least as bad as english country side roads.
They would probably be less noisy on smoother tarmac.
