one of the best dry tyres i've come across.
Dry:
grip - very grippy. i can anticipate the breaking point. grip lasts till bald. road feedback's very good.
brake - bites the tarmac.
tramlining - quite ok with thick tread. after 50%, gets bad.
Damp:
grip - quite grippy but oversteers on sharp corners.
brake - ok. performs like other tyres on damp tarmac.
Very Wet:
grip - like damp performance.
brake - like damp performance.
aquaplaning - ok with thick tread but bad after 50% tread.
conclusion:
excellent dry/summer tyre.
ok on the wet but careful after 50% tread.

Pro- tyres are excellent on hot and dry surface only. Very cheap if u are on a low budget.
Con- horrible on wet surface, compount hardens when tyres are cool. Very very noisy tires even with sound proofing on wheel arc. Unable to enjoy your ICE.very prone to aqua planning. Not good for car with front camber. High fuel consumption.

Amazing tire, fitted on my car and the performance is very very impressive.
It has outstanding performance in dry especially on very hot road surface ( I'm from Malaysia ), as long as the tires contact with hot surface, it turns to be a racing tire with its soft rubber. IT'S FAR BETTER THAN MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 3 in term of dry performance.
As for wet, it handles pretty well thanks to the 8mm tread depth grooves on the tires, but we dont have much rain here in Malaysia so I cant really talk much about this.
Rubber is very soft same to the side wall as well, it goes where you want to go, it stops where you want to stop, but it's quite a noisy tire especially travel on highway. But definitely I'll buy Federal tire again, for sure :D It's a competition tire manufacturer, but I wonder why it has been categorized into economic tire =(

Love the Federal for its per pound performance, able performer in wet and dry around 180km highway driving are very stable and smooth. I rate it better than the Hankook S1 Evo though it's noisier than the Evo due to its side wall construction. The only problem I had that stop me from using the tyre again is the tyre build quality or ex-factory issue. I've sent my left rear for claims and exchange due to bulging issue in the inside side wall. Just few days ago I've sent both front tyres for claims (I wont be exchanging it though) due to tyre curving (imagine the letter 'U'if you look at the tyre from back or front) from outside to inside sidewall. Other than that, a very good tyre

Ive used 595Evo tyre for the passed 1year on my mitsubishi lancer GLX1.6 On the 1st day of the usage its really impressed me of the dry grip cornering plus the road handling are much more easier and not so noisy compared to my previous Goodyear Eagle F1.During wet weather the groves really dispense the water away and I still can maitained speed@ 110km. During my track day last year April 2009 I was amazed by the grip when I drove at high speed into sharp bend the tyre never failed to passed thru every bend without any skid. I strongly recommended to drivers who like to go high speed driving or fast corner TRY IT! You will know the difference.By the way my presence 595EVO tyre due for a change next month. Nizz(Singapore)
