These tyres were on my used car when I bought it , at the time I thought it was great that it had nearly new tyres on the front axle and made my deal a bit better.

I am not a brand snob but I would not want to use anything that would endanger myself and family or other people. I believe these tyres do just that ! I have never thrown away any tyres until they were nearly illegal but these had to go. They are fitted to 1.9 120hp diesel , a big family car that is not abused yet given the slightest bit of moisture it is hard to set off quickly if needed , braking is dangerous and cornering , well I have drifted intentionally in my impreza years ago but its not so fun when its unexpected in a big car like this . Also the balancing is awful despite being checking and the car feels like the tracking is out ( its not)!

Do not buy these tyres unless your a drifter!

So many people have wrote funny things about how bad these tyres are , so I will just say "if you want to live long , don't buy linglong!"

These really are THE worst tyres I've ever driven on. In the wet they are LETHAL! I always fit premium tyres when I buy, Continental, Pirelli, or Michelin. I bought a Mercedes SL with these already fitted, was a bit dubious but thought they would do....I hadn't even got the car home and had experienced a very very worrying aqua-plain. Not good to have the stability prog flashing at you at 65mph! Even at low speed, I just had the tremendous over steer around a small roundabout, and it feels like it wants to understeer with just a slight movement of the steering wheel. AVOID, (or die!!!)

DO NOT BUY IT'S LIKE DRIVING ON A BAG OF GREASY MARBLES

must say these L688 tyres certainly best bang for your buck and yes maybe not the best in the wet but not dreadful either but do last a long time...well made tyre and needed very little balance weights....

I use budget tyres on my 05 Mondeo Estate, which is a car I've owned from new, but which has now done over 150k miles and is now used as a second car for shifting large or dirty loads (logs, building materials etc). It's just too useful to get rid of! Having driven it from new I am very familiar with the handling, well I thought I was, until I put these tyre on. The first few hundred miles were absulutely dire in the wet, after that it seemed to improved slightly, but they are still pretty awful. As I use the car as a run-around, I've just adopted a different driving style to take account of the atrotious handling, but if I had fitted these to my main vehicle, I would have swapped them over long before now.

I've used budget tyres for years without ever noticing any particularly bad handling caracteristics, but the experience of these Linglongs has made me seek out this website and I will definately be researching tyres before buying next time.

A BMW 328 really is not a fast car but a tank slapper a 45mph in a straight line on a damp road.

Got those tyres with my second hand Mazda 3 1.6 crtd on the front drive wheels only. Worst tyre that any car can have! On dry road they are decent but on wet I can hardy imagine something worse. I am lucky they are on the front axis so I can control the car better but I am very nervous and have to drive really slow on rainy conditions, would never take it out at icy or snowy conditions! My previous car had all four Michelin Economy saver really used, 90.000km of gentle driving and they were still way better than the new Linglong.

Will CHANGE them AS SOON AS I can! Would NEVER in my life recommend you to buy them unless you like to play russian roulette. Those tyres MUST be BANNED from all decent markets, they do not fulfill any safety standards. Those tyres are a REAL HAZARD, don't be fooled by their low price.

I have a 2002 ford focus and never bought new tires, I always bought part worn and I have had some really appalling ones in my time, anyway my local fitters had no part worn tires in stock one week so i opted for a set of new ones and got the L688's. I did not expect them to be anything special seen as they where budgets but honestly I did not anticipate just how bad they could be. In the dry they where as expected not so good but ok, but when it rained I was terrified to go around a corner at anything more than 15mph. At first i thought that the fitters had left the wheels loose or something. These tires should not be fitted to any car even the most frugal little car will at some point be in an emergency situation, an trust me, when you do you will wish you had spent an extra £20 on better ones. These tires can kill and should be illegal.

Bought the car with these tyres on from dealer. Looked O.K and drove reasonably in the dry. First time out when raining I had my 5 year old daughter in the car. I have never had to drive so slow to keep safe.
Next day I splashed out on a set of Goodyear F1 Assims II and what a difference. Well done Goodyear!!
LingLong are dangerous in the wet. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY THEM - EVER.

Bought a BMW 8 Series as it was a car I always wanted and nowadays they are going for good prices.Doing all the usual stuff (test drive, good look round ,listen to the engine and for any unusual noises et al).Seller told me he had recently fitted new tyres all round which to me was great as the sizes of tyres on this car can be quite expensive.Obviously when you're test driving a car as powerful as this with the seller sitting next to you you're not going to push it too much. Anyway bought the car and in the following days decided to push it a bit on straights and bends and as a previous reviewer commented the back end gave a excited twitch when I went round a roundabout onto a slip road. Also when the roads are wet and I moved away from a junction (Gradually I have to say)the ASC light flickered on the dashboard suggesting grip was a problem.Bottom line is I binned all these tyres and fitted Uniroyal Rainsports II which are a lot quieter road noise wise and give a good definite grip whether wet or dry road conditions.
Summing up don't buy crap like this because it can kill you.

I dont usually wrie on review sites but I had to with regards to these tyres.
2 new Linglongs are present on the rear my recently brought Mondeo and they are positively dangerous.

I thought the other day that I perhaps had an under inflated rear tyre as the back end was twichy when driving at a moderate speed when entering a slip road. Everything checked ok.

Last night though on a roundabout the whole back end stepped out on a damp road. I have never experience this before on a front wheel drive car when driving in a relatively steady manner and nearly stacked the car into the armco. Was thankful I did a skip pan course many moons ago that I could get it back.

There coming off as soon as I can get to a garage at the weekend, I value my life, my families life and my passengers lives.

Not sure why these tyres are getting such bad reviews. The first 1000miles were a bit tricky (specially in the wet) due to the releasing agents, once the tyres wears in they were fine.

Being budget they will not out perform the posh tyres, but driven in normal conditions are fine. Due to the harder rubber they last forever.

I would buy again.
