Ultimate grip is not what this tyre is about. However, over a long period of time and in most conditions, it's excellent value for money. It held a heavy car on the road in comfort for a lot of miles. Tyre noise is quite good and the wear rate is very good.
It's not a high-performance tyre, but it is an excellent mid-range one.
If it has a weak point, however, it is that it's not terribly good in slippery conditions such as slush, snow and ice. You'll need a second set of tyres if you intend doing any amount of driving in these conditions.

I had these tyres fitted by Kwik Fit a few months ago and have to say I've been quite impressed. I had Continental on the car from new and these grip just as well in all conditions. Also the Marangoni tyres are noticeably quieter on my car that the continentals.
All in all they seem to be a very good quality set of tyres.

i drive a vectra 1.9cdti 150ps and recently fitted 215\55\16 marangino verso tyres to the rear. the Bridgestones i removed worked well and were comfortable and stable in cornering. The verso also works well with a smooth ride, good feedback and unbelievable grip in wet or dry...fast corners on undulating country roads is like driving on rails

I have had these tyres for less than 500 miles and I am returning them to the dealer. The wet weather grip is absolutely shocking. On three occasions now under normal driving conditions on damp to wet roads I have suddenly lost all grip at the front of my car causing me to understeer across the road. This has happened in slow and medium speed corners with no real warning or progressive breakout. You have grip then you don't.
I saved myself ?15 per tyre over the premium brands and it has taught me a harsh lesson. You get what you pay for.

Strangely one tyre got worn out much quicker than the others, I thought the tracking was out but no.
It was just the tyre which appears to be softer than the other three.
