I purchased a new 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid that came equipped with Michelin tires (to my delight). The Energy Saver AS tires have a 65,000mile warranty. I rotate my tires every 6,000-7000 miles, when I have the oil changed. At 25,500 miles, my service station was unable to rotate the tires due to excessive wear & tear. Using Michelin’s warranty program, I bought a new set of the same tires at a 40% charge from MSRP. The replacement tires lasted only 20,000 miles before wearing out. Not wanting to waste any more money on Michelin tires, I purchased four Bridgestone tires. I asked Michelin for compensation to mitigate my costs of purchasing three sets of tires on a car with less than 47,000 miles on it. A Supervisor named Ashlyn told me that the only way to get compensated was to go through the same warranty process again. Fool me twice… When I asked to speak with Ashlyn’s manager, she said that there was no one higher than she in the company. Between the poor quality of the tires and the complete lack of consideration/respect shown me by Customer Service, I can only suggest that anyone considering buying Michelin tires think twice. Don’t expect any empathy or responsiveness from them, should you encounter a major issue with the tires’ quality. And at Michelin, Customer Service is a euphemism.

The first set of these tyres I bought several years ago (2014) lasted about 7 years of daily commuting. I got over 60k miles out of them and was forced to replace them not because they'd worn out (they still had legal tread on them), but because they had aged to the point where they'd developed micro fractures all over the sidewalls. I've never had a set of tyres last so long. They're okay in wet weather (no aqua-planing), and the grip in the dry of the first set was absolutely impeccable. These are Low Rolling Resistance tyres and their main party trick is enhancing high MPG figures on my 2008 Prius Tspirit Hybrid. In summer, I get over 60+ MPG and over 600 miles out of just short of a 45 Litre fuel tank. My best MPG record was in the summer of 2022, achieving 69.4 MPG with a mileage of 653 miles from the 45 Litre tank. I'm presently on a new set of the same tyres, bought 2021, with the only strange thing being that on warm days, the tyres make a strange wet sound on some warm to hot asphalt surfaces - in dry weather. They sound like "slick" tyres - if that makes any sense (they don't sound like that on cold days) - otherwise, I'm very pleased with them. They're quiet and smooth on properly paved asphalt surfaces, though they'll feel harder if you pump them up to 37f /35r psi - but there's no loss of grip, regardless. They're rated to 51 psi.

Stock tires for the 2018 NIssan Leaf. These have worn faster than I have expected. These are bit scary in the cold wet Seattle roads. Steering feel and "return to center" is better with the 205/65r15 bridgestone blizzak ws80s.

If road feedback means screaming like a woman in a 1970s horror movie, then yeah, lots of feedback. They squeal at the slightest provocation. You are no where near the limits and they are howling, attracting undue concern from police and passengers. Recently I had an ABS test on dry pavement when someone pulled out of a driveway in front of me. The dry braking was unsettlingly poor. These are OEM with lots and lots of tread left, but I am throwing them away for something better before winter. Sorry Earth!
