Pirelli Scorpion Verde

I am very disappointed with the recently purchased replacement Pirelli tyres on my Land rover Discovery.
Following an MOT fail for a damaged tyre I decided to replace the damaged one and worst other and fit a pair of new Pirelli Scorpion S/T to have a complete set of Pirelli Scorpion S/T tyres all round.
As the old type of Pirelli Scorpion S/T are no longer available the latest equivalent was fitted.
A pair of Pirelli Scorpion Verde 106H tyres were fitted I was assured that these were the best tyres that could be fitted.
Unfortunately I have found the new tyres slip contently and lose traction on damp grass causing the traction control to work constantly ( vehicle unladen)
As there is no grip on the front tyres feels like driving on rims only
My questions are
Are these Pirelli Scorpion Verde 106H tyres correct for the Landrover Discovery 2001 TD5 ?
Will the grip get better with time?
Is it safe to drive on the motorway with a heavy trailer in the wet with the lack of grip?
Is it safe to drive on the road with a mix of Pirelli Scorpion S/T on the rear and Pirelli Scorpion Verde 106H on the front as it is skids constantly on grass.

I had to change all four original Continental Contacts on my Freelander 2 at 33,000 miles and went for Pirelli Scorpion Verde - big £600 mistake! After just 13,000 miles (mostly motorway)they are down to the wear bars - the compound is clearly too soft for a 4WD and with such a short life span they are NOT 'green' . . . very disappointed.

after only 18500 miles on my Touareg,I have to replace them because I can t stand the noise are makeing...no traction on little snow or ice at all...

Reasonable ride and not to noisy.. Wear rate is incredible though ! My tyres have done 10,000 miles on a Rav 4 (Mostly motorway) and the fronts which are the driven wheels most of the time are 75% worn out !! Not a tyre for those who cover high miles !

Brilliant improvement in my fuel consumption since fitting these tyres 1500 miles ago. Up from 31mpg to 34.4mpg.

Last season I decided to replace rather tired Korean tyres and thought that I'd try these Pirellis in order to be ecological. As an experiment I bought two in April and ran them until September (about 5000 miles) before replacing the other two. They performed fine on wet and dry roads (didn't try them on snow) but when I checked them in September I was horrified to see that the two new Pirellis were all but bald (while the two older Korean tyres were still quite serviceable). I've now replaced all four with Coopers. Would never touch the Pirellis again, I'm afraid.

Scorpion ST
Good all-round summer and winter tyres. Not particularly high levels of grip, but consistent wet or dry, with an easy progressive slide. Good all-rounder on wet, dry, snow and twisty alpine tracks; but poor in mud, which is to be expected. Lasted 45k miles (down to 3mm form about 9mm original depth) Were very good value for money through small LR specialists - used to be even cheaper to buy in Italy, even though they were made in Wales. Have been through at least four sets of four on three LR Discos (a TD300 and two TD5s). However, now running Conti Cross Contacts UHPs on a VW, which are a vastly superior 4x4 road-only (no snow or mud) tyre at a vastly superior price!
