Full set of these fitted after a Uniroyal disaster, what a relief. Quite a hard ride but that suited me fine. I don't go hurling the car into corners (anymore) must be an age thing! I just want to get around safely and with confidence these tyres provide just that. In dry conditions I have never had any trouble, in the wet I have to be a bit more cautious pulling away from junctions otherwise I spin the wheels, braking in any conditions feels OK, never aquaplaned dispite some close calls on the motorway when suddenly presented with a sea of red lights ahead. I did reasonably well in the heavy snow we had but found that I had better grip in 6" deep fresh snow than 1" deep partially melted slush.
Wear seems good at 28k as it's quite a heavy car, best mileage I have had from any tyre.
I would recommend these tyres as good VFM at about ?55 each for a casual or occasionally spirited driver in a family car.

Good points: Fairly quiet with good levels of all-round grip.
Bad points: Softer compound meant that a weird, burning smell could be detected each time after doing about 45 miles on the motorway. Also, tyres were completely worn down after only about 25,000 miles (85% done on motorways). That's not impressive at all!

Definitely good handling at wet conditions. Comfort not at its best.

They are mid range tyres and maybe the performance is not the same as some premium brands but If you are average driver you can't go wrong for the price. the grip in wet is very good and better than on dry surface. The tyres are quiet and wear is not bad neither.

Great tyre for wet conditions and not bad in the dry either. Were excellent for the price compared to other makes and thus I don't mind that they need replacing after around 10000 miles as its safety that counts and not a tyre that lasts 30000 miles but is a hazard to you and everyone else. What people forget is that the most important thing on a car safety wise is the tyres and everyone should know what they are buying, don't just turn up at Kwikfit and ask for advice because you won't get any, they just want to sell you the tyres they will make most profit on.

They seemed to grip better on wet rather than dry. They really question your self-confidence at high speeds. quite soft; quickly worn out. if you keep them for longer than 2 years you will feel the reduction in performance in comparison to the new ones. taking long to warm up , even in my sunny country - Greece. Generally they magnify the car's disadvantages. If pressured in tight turns you can't help understeering and when they finally get some traction, they make the car act nervously.

I've had various Toyo's on various cars and have always been impressed. Grip is excellent both wet and dry, and handling is always safe. Wet braking is very good, which is important to me as I drive on twisty B roads, frequently.
Wear is only really average, but then given the levels of wet grip I suspect they are a soft-ish compound. saying that these tyres are reasonably priced, so its not a problem at all.
Another good point is I've never had any problems with balancing or casing distortion/failure. So I'd happily recommend these tyres to anyone.

Brilliant tyre!!! Trust me these are unbelievable for the price and are up there with Bridgestone Potenza's!! Im in Ireland with a very wet climate and these are fantastic in the wet - gave me great confidence and as for dry grip, excellent! have bought another set for my van!
