I wasn't sure what to buy for my Audi A3 2.0 TDI 140 we bought it used from Audi Main Dealer and it had a new set of Firestones on it. They lasted fairly well - 16,000 miles but felt dead cold - always. No feedback. I spoke to a very good mate who sells and fits tyre and said to him to put on the tyres he would use regardless of price...He said these were the ones as I didn't want Bridgestone Potenzas (I got through 10 yes Ten sets on my Honda Type R Civic in 75,000 miles) Great tyres but way to soft for me.
Anyway The Pirelli P ZERO Asimmetrico were Brilliant 20,000 miles fronts and rears had 3mm-4mm left but I had 4 new ones. Main benefit was that they are Brilliant in the wet (Devon) and they feel good through the steering wheel. They are quiet. I am a fussy B***!!!@@@@ and I am really very pleased. I paid £350 for all four fitted (225/45 R17) which I know is mates rates but would happily have paid a lot more. At any rate do get online take a printout of the lowest quote you find and all the big retailers will do price match you just need to ask...Fact. The dealers need your business and if they wont then go up the road and ask there.

Seem like a great tyre, they're last a long time, I've had these for around 15 months and I've still got 3mm of tread left on the fronts and 5mm on the rear. No complaints with the traction, I can spin the wheels in the dry a little more now than when they were new (I don't make a habit of it!). No issues with wet weather either, had to perform an emergency stop last month down a country lane when the driver infront piled on the breaks because of a large puddle! (twit)

top drawer. paid £100 a tyre for my a3 and couldnt find any cheaper. only been on a few days but a marked improvement compared with my summer premium tyres. everything is better - grip, braking distances, cornering. cant comment on how long they last yet or how they are in the dry but i reckon staying on the road this winter has to be worth every penny!

Very noisy but compensates for the great traction in the dry and wet.

Had these tires factory fitted on my A3 Black Edition with 18'' wheels and very impressed with the overall level of grip in both dry and wet conditions. They are very quiet tires with no sign of whine and very little road noise. I know some people have had problems with these tires wearing out quickly but i've covered nearly 17k and still got around 4mm of tread left, although the majority of my driving is motorway and A roads i'm happy with the wear rate for a premium tyre.

These tyres made good reading before i bought them. However now that they are on the car im not so sure. I do alot of fast road driving on a and b roads and find that grip compared to the Falken 452 is non comparable. I just wish i had atleast put 452 tyres on the front to stop the understear in corners at speed. The treadwear on these are 360 compared to 280 on the 452's which doesnt seem alot but the 452's provide so much more grip and confidence. No doubt the ze912's will wear better though as i only got 8500 miles from a front set of 452's.

Fitted 2 x yokohama s306 on both front corners of my audi a3 2.0 tdi 8p.
I got them at a good price from blackcircles so i thought i'd give them a go. On the dry they're fine and handle ok...but on a wet surface they're terrible!! just going round a bend at 20 mph the car slides... not good!!!! going to put them on the back and go back to my pirelli 6000s.

put these wintrac xtreme on my 2nd car (Audi a3) thinking well there not a full blowen snow tyre but an all season but boy was i wrong my a3 sits about 7" to 8" of the ground these tyres were pulling me through 15" of snow up a hill the car was acting like a plow. trust me the best investment you'll ever make and i got 14000 miles out of the front set when the original tyres that came with the car (pirelli) lasted 6000 miles for all 4 tyres.
