very good tire. surprisingly quiet. great wet and dry grip. i liver in Washington so i put the wet grip to the test all the time and there's no slippage.

OK to give a balanced review I'll tell you what I had before and after the change.
Before: Front Dunlop SP Sport 01 Wear OK, Grip OK
Rear Avon ZZ3 Wear Good, Grip OK
After : Front Uniroyal Rainsport 2 Wear/Grip Excellent
Rear Uniroyal Rainsport 2 Wear/Grip Excellent
To give an overview, before I changed the tyres I always had confidence in both wet and dry conditions but ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) could cut in if pushed hard on sharp bends. (Wet and Dry). With ESP off I could get the fronts to slide (Understeer)if pushed and lift off oversteer when pushed hard through sweeping bends. This in a 4X4 (Quattro).
After the change I hardly ever see the ESP cut in(Wet or Dry) unless you go over a bump on a corner and one wheel lifts slightly and loses traction. With ESP off I can increse the speed through corners before any loss of grip (understeer or oversteer) which gives much greater confidence.
The only other difference between the Uniroyals and the previous tyres are that they have less rigid side walls which give a bit more 'movement', or feel if you want, as you turn in to corners. This you get use to and is really down to personal preference if this bothers you at all.
I bought all 4 tyres together at ?80 a corner fitted.
These tyres for the price are excellent when you compare them to 'premium' brands.
Uniroyal is owned and marketed by Continental (Europe)
Uniroyal is owned and marketed by Michelin (USA)
If you want best wear than go for a Michelin but you will pay alot more for them! The only thing that will grip better would be a track tyre which is no good in the wet.
This is the best allround tyre for price/wear/grip/look

OEM on my car and lasted 19K miles. Tyres always kept at recomended pressure and gave good grip in the dry and wet conditions. Once on the edge of the grip range slid nicely so that control of the vehicle could be maintained with no unexpected loss of grip. Tyres always gave maximum grip evcn when cold. Replaced these tyres with 2.5 mm tread left as they were suffering with wet weather breaking. Not too bad a tyre all in all

These tyres replaced my OEM Conti Sportcontact 2's and were very noisy for the first 5000 miles even with the correct pressure in the tyres. Gave good grip in the dry and OK grip in the wet. The tyres give apalling grip in cold weather and need to be warmed up before taking them to their limits but were OK once up to temperature. When at the limit they slid nicely with no unexpected behaviour and easy to handle. now on 19K miles they need replacing with 2.5 mm of tread due to cracks appearing between the treadblocks which seems to be common with dunlops. I won't be buying any more of these due to this problem.

Looking at other responses about the noise Im relieved! Road noise is terrible!! I have a all wheel drive and thought the transfer case was gone. Bought the car with these on and it was fine! After driving for 1000+ these tires are terrible and loud. What a way to ruin a "new " car for me!! Driving long distances here in the states! (Ex pat) some road surfaces do make a noise add that to the tire noise and it gets uncomfortable! I want these off asap and use them as tire swings for the kids!!
