I'm the sort of driver (and biker) who I firmly believes that tyres are one of, if not the most important component on your car or bike. I push my car quite hard from time to time, doing track days and trips to the Nurburgring etc, and for me the way a tyre grips and handles is the most important thing. These Goodyears have excellent grip wet or dry, with wet grip particularly impressive. Good feedback, predictable at the limit, quiet running, and after over 10600 miles they have between 3 and 4mm of tread left. A very difficult tyre to fault for me. Would buy again as long as German made ones are still available (I'm told they are now made in China and I've heard horror stories of poor grip, although Goodyear claim they are the same).

A recent tyre test rated these fairly badly in their braking test. I disagree. Fantastic tyres these are. Great cornering, great grip. Braking has been as good as leading brands from my experience. I will buy these again.

I'm not going to mess about here: These tyres are superb.End of discussion. A tremendous amount of grip in the dry, accompanied with the predictably brilliant wet weather traction. I can't comment on wear, or how they are in the snow, because they have only been fitted for a couple of months. Was torn between getting a set of these or some Falken 452s, which were also very good for the Ford Focus I used to own; very please with my choice, and would not hestitate to buy them again when this lot wear out. Magnificent!

As with all new tyres you should drive with care for the first 1000 miles or so.After this run in period these tyres come good.Amazing grip wet or dry unless you drive like a nutter.Wear rate is great, look like they will last at least 30000 miles.Bit more road noise than the contis I had before but at half the price a good trade off.Fuel consumption has also improved. These are on a 170 bhp rwd car so tyre choice is important.Don't think there is a better tyre out there for the price.

Bought Touring 320i with new set on front. Mixed motoring includes hard monthly trip to Dutch border with full car. Tyres are a bit noisy, especially on motorway concrete. Have covered over 43k and the traditional BMW edge feathering issue has finally taken its toll (changing pressures does not have any effect). Very impressed with their value for money and 'middle of the road' performance. Will buy again.

Dry grip is very good, but wet grip tends to be be less and make you feel less confident about it. Nonetheless a good tyre overall and comfort is way about the bridgestone potenza RE050 that came stock with the car. If i am looking for run flats I would definitely buy these over the RE050. Wear wise I can't comment cos only ran 9000km plus but they still look good to me.
