Update: After some more daily driving (I'm the back seat driver), we've decided that these are excellent budget tires! 215/35R19 on a 8.5J Reverse Mount wheel, stretched the tire a bit, but this is awfull for every day driving! Not the tire's fault, but we wanted a little stretch. Dry: Great, just needs some heat and then they grip nicely. Wet: We thought that this would be awfull, but no. Just a little warm up and it grips like a rain tire! We were only able to slide on manholes, but back on asphalt, it just wouldn't let go! Feedback: Not so good, i think it's because of the stretched tires. Handling: Just ok. Again, stretched tires are to blame. Wear: Good, nothing extremely bad, maybe the inside over time because my friend is stubborn and didn't align the rear. Comfort: Does not apply on this setup. 215/35R19 stretched on a old, lowered E46 doesn't equal comfort. Do I recommend this tire? Not for most people, but this is exactly what WE wanted. Aggressive thread, not to expensive, a tire brand I've heard of, cheap, wonky sizes. For us, it's perfect!

I have an E36 and I use them for the front tires and I can say that there is something wrong with the production of the new tires, it does not feel close to the Asymmetric 5 and not close to the PS4 This tire behaves like a completely normal Chinese tire, I only do drifts with the vehicle It is best to go back to Asymmetric 5 or switch to another brand

Review of these Nankang Ns2's on my buddy's E46 215/35R19 85Y XL on a 8.5J rim, nice stretch, load rating plenty for a E46. First of, I recommended these tyres for him because he wanted a cheap, aggressive threaded tyre, with a rotation thread pattern. There isn't much to choose in 215/35R19. Hankook and Kumho too expensive, dont want unknown brands, so Nankang was about the only way to go. We specifically chose the NS2'S over the NS20'S because of better looks and similar reviews. Btw, if you find the Nankang NS2 Ultra Sports, those are the same as when you order regular NS2'S. Both have NS2 Ultra Sport written on the sidewall. Speaking of the sidewall, it's a very boring one, nothing special. Now, we only have these on the car for a few weeks now, and we really needed to break-in the tyres, driving carefully for the first 50 to 100 miles. First things that stand out, the noise, of boy they are noisy! But they give a lot of feedback! They are really stiff as well, mind you the sidewall is nearly nonexistent and his cold pressure is like 2.7 Bar and warmed up 3.0 Bar. Comparing to his old tyres, Hankook Ventus Evo 3's in 225/40R19 (93Y) XL (way to big for a lowered E46, he grabbed the tyre size of a E46 M3), the Nankangs have a little less grip, and dont give you as much confidence to push harder. Haven't tested in (heavy) rain yet, but we are expecting significant reduced grip, but that's to be forgiven. I wouldn't recommend these for the average driver, but for a project car and for the driver that can handle the noise, grip and probably wear, I would recommend them!

This time I thought I'd opt for the bridgestone potenza sports to get first hand experience of what they are actually like (all four tyres changed). I drive a 1996 E36 which has no driver aids (no TC and ABS removed) so can look to give some feedback on how this tyre responds. First impressions of it is that the steering response has definetly increased and the feedback is really confidence inspiring in dry and especially wet weather conditions. Brakes respond very well too very consistent pedal feel. I have yet to come across another tyre that performs as well as this does in the wet, where I have exceeded over triple digit figures over flooded surfaces and has maintained grip and composure at ease. The only con and this is literally nit picking would be the brakes are not the sharpest under heavy rain however this is not to take away its ability to brake in the wet. Overall so far so good I think its an excellent choice for anybody to consider especially in the UK.

Absolutely amazing tyres for the money. With the Asymmetric 5 Goodyear really have cemented themselves at the top of the UHP game. These wheels I bought for my BMW came with Asymmetric 2s on them which I used for a while before replacing with the 5s. They were so good anyway that I knew I had to replace them with Goodyears and in this short time they’ve become my favourite, and now go-to, tyre. Dry handling - Unbelievable amounts of grip, very progressive at the limit. Feedback does start to drop off a bit during really high speed handling situations however you still get a good and reassuring idea of what the front wheels are doing. I’ve been able to attack corners at truly silly speeds without losing grip, all on private roads of course... Subjective handling - As mentioned, great feedback and progressiveness, they don’t roll over on the sidewall nearly as much as the older Asymmetric 2s did. Wet handling - Much the same as above, just with lowered grip levels as with any wet driving experience. Amazing grip considering the wet road, when they do lose grip they’ve never caught me out due to the amazing amount of progressiveness. Obviously, they won’t have an ultimate grip level in the wet as high as say a Uniroyal Rainsport for example, however they do amazingly well compared to cheaper UHPs and especially considering what a great dry tyre they are. Wear - Too early to say really as they’ve only been on the car for a few hundred miles, however all the data out there shows them to be on par with all the top brands, even Michelin, which used to have the advantage in wear. The Asymmetric 2s fitted on these wheels previously had lasted from 2017 until now, so I can tell they’re going to be pretty impressive in the wear department. Comfort - Very very quiet and comfortable tyres, obviously they’re probably a bit less comfortable than more comfort orientated tyres out there but my preference is for a sporty, pointy tyre, which the Asymmetric 5 delivers perfectly while still retaining comfort and refinement. In summary, I believe the constant ‘just get the Michelins’ is no longer a valid option. I’ve heard from recent reviews that the Pilot Sport 4 has become a bit more comfort orientated than other top UHP competitors and no longer has the wear advantage of previous models. This is why I went with the Goodyears. I also like the good amount of rim protection and the design of the sidewall lettering, if you’re weird like me and that sort of thing matters to you. The only tyre I’d consider in it’s place would be the Continental Premiumcontact 6, however, the Goodyears were roughly £10 a corner cheaper than the Continentals, and therefore I believe they offer the best performance for the money of any tyre out there at the moment.

Excellent tyres for snowy and icy conditions.
Braking on dry or wet tarmac is not best, but it is normal considered the amound of studs, altought handling on tarmac is predictable and safe.
Wear rate of these tyres are incredible, I have had those three winters for now under car without ABS or traction control and none of the studs have been escaped or worn out! Rubber has worn from 8mm (brand new) to 6mm.

Absolutely would recommend these tyres to anyone.

Bought my E36 BMW with these fitted all round, horrendous in the wet (car almost undrivable) but adequate in the dry. Looking to change these quickly after a fairly heart-stopping (and expensive) moment cruising at 50MPH on a damp road and the car deciding to steering from the back with no warning.

I recently changed my bmw 323i 2010 model tires from potent to sumo and the feel is too great. The car feels like a new one and there is absolutely no road sound. The ride quality along with handling has improved leaps and bounds. I will recommend this tyre to every one.
