Excellent, I have had Nokians and Blizzaks before--this tire beats them all. Great buy, will def do it again.

I've used Goodyears for 25 years - no use having tyres for dry Italian roads if'n yer live in Scotland. These are the best ever - not quite as long lasting as the previous GSD3s. Only tried the rears so far - fronts soon. WARNING: they turn into Skidmasters in the snow & ice - use yer girlfriend's car instead until it thaws :)

Had a couple of sets of these on my BMW 330Ci. Grip in the dry is excellent, never had it lose grip on me - but haven't tried, either. In the wet the grip is not as good - you can get the back end waggling on the exit roundabouts if you want to/bit aggresive with the throttle, which is part of the reason I chose them again - they're good fun! However, they seem to have enough grip still for emergency stops in the wet, which is reassuring - if I thought they were dangerous I wouldn't buy them. They are comfortable and wear well - approx 15,000 miles for rears, which on a 330Ci is good going. I think some 'Premium' tyres are a bit quieter from what I have read, but I have no complaints about these.

Driving on a combination of roads for 14000 average miles
Bought four of these for my 330ci two years a go. Fronts have 5-6 mm still, rears are down to the limit.

Rears give a bit in the wet while pulling away but thats half the fun of rear wheel drive cars! Progression is good aswell.

Good tyres for the money but have my eyes on a pair of Pilot SPORT PS2's for the rears as I wouldnt mind them lasting a bit longer!

Had these tyres on about two years now but I only average 6k a year on suburbam roads. I have to negotiate pot holes, leaves and everything else the tractors drop on the road. Running on a good flat road they are quiet but trtansfer any imperfection through noise and feedback. Tramlining on lorry worn roads is a nightmare. Since I first used these tyres I didn't think they were better than my Conti's. Plus they are even worse in the snow, even though I put a paving slab in the boot. Overall good in the dry - poor in the wet.

PS3 Best compromise between comfort and steering feel. Fantastic in the wet like Contisportcontact 3, much much better than Bridestone. If you are looking for a tyre which is great in the wet, and is comfortable and not noisy, yet at the same time it is still very sporty and if price is affordable then get this. Bridgestone out perform any in the dry. This is the tyre I'm getting over and over again :)

Bridgestone S001 (replacement for RE050a) is superb in the dry and has great steering feedback but it is noisy and doesn't absorb bumps as well.
This is not from my experience but from a friend who does a bit of racing, he says S001 are very progressive, although it is not as grippy in the wet and only average however subjectively, this tyre is the best to drive on because it is progressive. Potholes and uneven surface does tend to make it more busy but it feels great because it is progressive.

Contisportcontact 3 is very comfortable but loses on steering feel and sharpness.

It seems like Bridgestone S001 is performance oriented and Continental Conticontactsport 3 is for comfort and Michelin PS3 is a great compromise between the two. I didn't generalize because with each model manufacturers can change, ie Michelin PS2 are dry performance oriented and now the PS3 are wet & green oriented.
