BMW E46 328i ESS Supercharged Tyre Review Highlights

Outstanding tyres, I fitted these on my ST220 (for the 2 whole weeks I had it - back problems? Run as far as you can from it!) and there was a marked improvement with the wheels spinning the power away when accelerating out of a corner.

However on my BMW (338whp) and in my 'exuberant' style of driving they kept the car on the road and under control in all manner of weathers. My only slight complaint is the slightly higher than average wear, in ~50,000 miles I have used 5 rear sets and 3 fronts. For reference my friend's M3 gets about 30% more out of his Conti's.

It wet conditions are where they really shine through, even in the large 'ponds' we get on the country roads here in the wet, they just plough on through with the least aqua-planing I have ever had out of a tyre. Even in the wet I can accelerate round a large round-a-bout at about 50mph and shoot up the slipway on the the dual carriageway, I could not believe how much throttle I could use the first time I did it!

These tyres are without doubt the best value you can get, even for my massive 255's they are only £135 each fitted, which is about 25% cheaper than rival brands - so this compensates for the higher wear.

Without a doubt I will continue to use these tyres for as long as they are made - they even make an SUV version for my Murano!
