Best tyre I've ever used. Quiet and comfortable but still good sporty handling.

These tyres are designed for the newer M3/M4/M5, all of which I've driven on this tyre and liked. However, after putting a set on my e92 M3 (2010 Competition Pack) I could not believe how much worse the car felt than on the standard Michelin PS2. Overall grip was increased for sure, but road feedback and progressiveness was terrible.

The car hopped over bumps that it previously was not upset by, even on worn tyres. The turn in characteristics were far more vague, and the rear of the car felt disconnected. There was a feeling that the sidewall was flexing, making it difficult to feel when a movement at the back of the car was indeed the tyre breaking away, or just movement within the tyre. Not confidence inspiring at all.

I contacted Michelin directly and their technical manager called me back within hours. Many workarounds were suggested such as adjusting pressures and alignment/camber settings, but these made little difference. Michelin agreed to replace them with PS2's at no cost.

Great customer service from Michelin, but not a tyre I would ever recommend using on the e92. Those who have, and are saying the tyre is great, must not drive their car anywhere near the limit of adhesion, because honestly it was borderline scary.

Go with the OE Michelin or Continental.

Michelins are far better than the Continentals it came on. Not in the same league for grip, feel or wet weather. Felt I had to take it easy on the Contis whereas Michelin I feel at ease with . Tried to buy PS 3. However size not available when needed!! Only drawback - wear!! Only 8-9 k. However you get what you pay for. 245/35 front 265/35 rear
