Replaced a set of Michelins on my Z3 with recommendations primarily from reviews such as those found on this site. Decided to go for the Falken 452s primarily for cost. Tread pattern on these tyres looks excellent - central rib with plenty of grooves and sipes present to shift water. Tyres were indeed a little slippy at first (2-300 miles?) just needed a bit of the shiny contact surface taken off merely by usage. Dry grip is good overall - reasonable feedback even with fairly hard braking going into a corner or when accelerating out of a corner . Dry braking initially was poor but after the tyres have worn a little braking performance was excellent. Similar stories for wet grip and braking performance too - initially a bit scary but now very good. Tyres are wearing reasonably well too - reckon to get about 12k out of the set;- not bad considering the purchase price of about £100 each. Recommended at the price.

Very poor grip levels and I am sliding around everywhere. Not something an MZ3 needs help with. The crazy camber on the z normally means it eats the inside of the rear tyres, but even with a concerted effort to wear them out so I have a proper excuse to get rid of them, they are not wearing at all. Probably why they have so little grip.
Very progressive breakaway though.
I found out recently that these are marketed here as drift tyres, which explains a lot.

Well this car came fitted with these tyres. Wear was fairly rapid but then I expect that on this type of car.
Progressiveness and feel hard to assess as the Z3 chassis is poor in both these areas.
Biggest shock was the way the tyres tread began to show signs of delaminating. This happened on all 4 tyres, on one tyre it got bad enough to need replacement. Apparently this was a very common problem on this tyre. I also had a spare set of alloys for this car, these fitted with the same tyre which also had the same problem, despite having approx 4mm of tread remaining.
I concluded that really you were just paying for the name, with these tyres, as the construction quality was well below par.
