Khumo's are way better than the OEM Michelin Primacy HPs they replaced. The grip is better, the ride is better and quieter. The wear rating is 320 over Michelins 240 so they should last a lot longer. And they cost me £101 each instead of £160. Michelin should be ashamed!

Replaced front Michelin Primacys with Sessantas last week on my big diesel C6. An immense improvement, particularly steering feel and response. Also much quieter than Michelins. Do check inflation pressures, as Michelin recommend 25psi for Primacys wheras Vredstien website recommends 35psi for Sessantas.

I have driven with these tyres now since mid November, when I fitted 4. I can barely describe the transformation. Last winter the traction control light was flashing constantly, this year it barely flickers. Deep snow is no problem as my suspension raises up. I have driven through snow over a foot deep, going where even 4x4s cannot go. I have left lots of them floundering in my wake!
In 35 years of driving, I have never had such a transformation.
If you haven't got them, what are you waiting for?

Excellent grip in the snow. We live in rural Aberdeenshire which has plenty of snow and ice thro' the winter. We do high mileages also and these tyres make sense as all year round tyres at £54 a tyre from Mytyres, they're cheaper than many ordinary summer tyres. I know they should be V rated but who's going to drive at 136 mph or in a style likey to heat them up to that temperature on rural A roads??
If money is your thing, go and buy a pair of verdistines and pay £120 a tyre, otherwise these tyres make good sense and are an excellent all round tyre. (I had a pair of old Vredistines on my Forrester and they were very slippery in the wet and the dry).

Put these on my diesel citroen c5, they have a nice steering feel. A world away from the Federal 595 Taiwanese rubbish that I got the car with. Quiet and grip well rain or dry and not bad in the snow the last few weeks too. I will only buy euro tyres again, its just not worth the risk with the stuff from China, Taiwan, Malaysia. They just don't have the technological know how like we do in the EU and all the proper tyre tests always show this. Barum are Continentals value brand made in the Czech republic and like Skoda are much under-rated.

Tyres fitted to Citroen C5 160Bhp 2010 from new.
Firstly, why pay a premium for a BMW/Audi, your mugging yourself's off :)
Tyres have been driven on a variety of motorway, A & B roads and farmers tracks - when the SAT NAV takes over...
24500m covered, usually getting 47 - 50mpg without trying!!
Country lanes don't feel very safe due to feedback from tyres, felt safer in 2006 Vectra, but could be due to size of the C5, it's like an ocean liner :)
Motorway driving is a breeze even after long journey's, not much intrusive noise and no back aches....
Grip in snow/ice wasn't the best - but I tend to drive sensibly.
Never did any wheel spinning but didn't always feel as though the car was quick off the mark.
If I wasn't bailing out the Banks I would probably buy again however Uniroyal Rainsport's are next on the vehicle after reading the feedback from this great site, just hoping they give me the same wear rate :)

An excellent all round tyre, dry grip is excellent, wet grip is also very confidence inspiring, steering feel is good too. Slightly noisier than some tyres but comfort is good. These are due for replacement after only 10K miles in total, 4K of which were on the rear, 6K on the front. My driving is spirited and the car is heavy, but to go through a pair of tyres in 10K is a little worse than i was expecting. Despite having the correct pressures the edges are bald. However given the grip they offer and for the price, im very tempted to go for these again. My rear tyres are new Michelin Primacy HPs as i wanted something which would last, but on pricing up Toyos and Michies, the T1-Rs are ?100 a pair cheaper than the Michelins. So im tempted to go for these again, they are very impressive for grip and feel. Though the Uniroyal Rainsport2s are just as tempting.
