Fiat Stilo Tyre Review Highlights

Replaced the Eagle NCT5s with the Proxes CF1 and what a difference! I immediately noticed the quietness and sheer comfort over the previous Eagles. The car is used for commuting, motorway drives down to Devon and up to Lancashire, as well as around the country lanes of Wiltshire. They are proving to be excellent value for money and not showing any signs of wear yet. I feel extremely safe, and in a recent motorway journey, with extremely strong side winds, the car never felt as though it was coming unstuck, if at illegal speeds. I would definitely invest in another set, and only cost ?54 a corner. What a bargain!

These were the third front/second rear set of tyres on one of our two Fiat Stilo 1.6 MultiWagons, fitted at 62K miles, fronts now being replaced at 103K, rears probably have another 10K in them.
Good points: Good all-round performers on a mixture of 2/3rd motorway and 1/3rd local country road driving. Grip well in dry and wet. Tyre wear has been minimal. Corner well on country roads.
Bad points: Road noise is evident at even modest speeds.
Streets ahead of the wandering and quickly wearing Avon ZV3's fitted as a replacement on our other Stilo.

Used these tyres on twisting small roads at excess speed as well on motorways at stupid speeds. SO far they have never let me down on grip.

good tyre with good grip in dry and wet. The price is the big let down not worth the extra over cheaper tyres like the kuhmos of this world

These were fitted on the front of one of our two Fiat Stilo 1.6 MultiWagons, fitted as first replacement at 36K miles, but needed to be replaced after 18K miles use.
Good points: Quiet controlled road noise at even motorway speeds.
Bad Points: Performance on country roads and grip in dry and wet conditions not as good as it should be. Car feels as if it's floating/wandering and doesn't inspire confidence near limits. Tyre life has only been half that of the previous front tyres on this car (Dunlop SP Sport tyres - 36K) and the Eagle NCT5s (41K) fitted on our other Stilo.

Pretty good all round tyre especially given the cost but oh so noisy. Unlike other reviewers, mine rumble and graunch at speeds between about 10 to 25 mph and quiet down (a little) at higher speeds.
I thought they might become quieter as they worn down but seem to be getting worse.
They made such a rumbling noise I took the car to the garage thinking I had a broken wheel bearing.
