These tyres are truely spectacular! the wet grip is unbeatable and it really takes some to upset these even on full lock and acceleration!

The dry grip is stunning as I generated a constant of 0.94G! (Ford Focus Mk1)

Confidence is assured as progressiveness is smooth and predictable.

Feel is slightly less than previous tyres but this is due to relitively soft compound and deep tread.

turn in is sharp and bite is instant.

I do not have ESP or ABS but I drive somewhat aggressively and they have never let go! The rear end is now twitchy (fronts' only) as the car tends to allow for controlable lift-off oversteer

The car has never understeered (only on off-camber roads)

MAKE SURE TO BUY XL VERSION!

Driving on a combination of roads for 92000 average miles
I bought two of these tyres after i had my car for a couple of months, i only had really cheap tyres on and so i put the new tyres on the front through the winter, 2 weeks ago i thought i would swap the as new falkens to the back so they could last a bit longer, so i must admit i bought these as i read all the good reviews about them, i think their the best rated tyres on this site, the grip in the summer is brilliant, i drive average but sometimes i do put my foot down and get the revs a bit high, im no nutter though, ive never actually wheel spun these wheels in summer or dry conditions, pulling off from maybe 4 - 6 k revs. so as my cheap tyres are on the front now, i never ever thought i would feel such a difference, im actually scared to go out driving when its wet with the cheap tyres on the front, cant pull away in more than 3 - 4 k revs without really spinning the wheels. car feels like it wants to go everywhere without the falkens on the front. the difference is just astronomical! im deffinitely getting these falkens again and actually i am really thinking of getting them on the front asap! check out value tyres . co . u k to get the best deals i have found, what you need to do is see if they have a branch near you that fit them, and go to them and tell them you can get these from camskill . co . uk for £52.00 each and they will match the price for u, including delivery to them and fittment.

For the price, very good indeed.

What is often missed is that these are all seasons tyres and so should outperform standard tyres in the cold & wet.

Writing about the Nexen N8000 given 84% (215-45-17-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 300 spirited miles
Having prevously written here on the merits of the Khumo Ku31 I was trying to get a hold of a pair , however they seemed in short supply and prices have risen. A local tyre suggested I try the Nexen N8000. He had to get them in but still did a good deal. He said from his feedback the tyres are not asw long lasting but would outperform the Ku31 being a new level of performance tyre from Nexen since input from Michelin. I only gently abused the tyres for the first hundred miles but then an opportunity for a back road blast. The Nexen provide a higher feeling of stability and greater levels of grip during tight corners. At motorway speeds the noise levels are generally lower than Ku31`s . I cannot yet comment on wet performance but the wide grooves would suggest a good performance and I will have to see about the durability. Since purchasing these tyres I have heard that Khumo are having funding issues with the Korean government ,so I`m hoping the Nexen live up to the favourable impression I currently have.

Driving on a combination of roads for 11000 easy going miles
I found these tyres to be very good in respect of wet and dry grip, however i'm not a boy racer. Mine are branded 'Admiral' but are made by Kumho/Marshal. Treadwear 320, Traction AA, Temperature A.
I think an excellent tyre for the price I paid.

Writing about the Kumho Solus KH17 given 79% (195-60-15-H)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2 spirited miles
Bought these after I purchased a set of Solus KH15s. These proved to initially be a worse tyre until the tread blocks wore down several millimetres they then provided good levels of grip in both the wet and the dry. I will admit to being a spirited driver but found these tyres no worse for losing grip whilst cornering than many of the big named brands and when you consider you can buy 4 tyres for the price of three of the premium brands, these tyres get a big thumbs up for cost effectiveness. They do have a down side they aren't as good in the snow as the KH15s. But then seeing as we only have snow once in a blue moon.

Driving on a combination of roads for 12 spirited miles
Had these fitted by a local garage had seen the kumho Solus KH17 get a best buy in Which magazine but they didn't have those in stock so I settled on these. Have driven with them on a 1.6 Focus Zetec. Not the most light footed of drivers and tyres grip well under hard acceleration and braking. Wet weather performance and general performance increases as the tyre block height wears down. Have also used these during the heavy snow and they provided good grip for both traction and breaking. Not a tyre designed for a performance saloon but a very competant and cost effective tyre for a family saloon. Have also used the KH17 which appears to be a very similar performance to the KH15 in the wet and dry.

Writing about the Firestone TZ200 given 70% (195-60-15-H)
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 average miles
Bought these as rear tyres on my Wife's 1.6 focus and they were absolutely dreadful on a motorway, over 60mph the back end felt like it was going to break away all the time - very disconcerting.

Changed the wheels over, and put them on the front and they are superb, really grippy, and the problem with the rear has disappeared - won't be getting them for the rear axle again!

Writing about the Pirelli P6000 given 64% (--15-)
Driving on mostly town for 0 average miles
I have just started driving (only around 1 year) and have found that this tyre will last time after time. However, it does seem to be quite rigid, therefore, it is quite hard to know whether or not you are skidding, I have found with these on a Ford Focus, it is best to be mindful of the slide juddering that the entire car makes, as opposed to sensing it via the stearing column. I have just been driving in the snow and ice [22/12/09] and have found that it does perform well on the stuff when moving, but... if you stop the car in the stuff only for a moment, you might find your car is struggling to make and exit with the P6000.

Driving on a combination of roads for 7000 spirited miles
you get what you pay for
cost £35 each for ford focus
grip well when stopping wet / dry and handling
little scuffy when pulling away
worst thing is the durability - had them 7-8k and they are down to 3.5mm (even) so will get around 9k in total, if id have bought klebers of Falkens would have got 12k on same vehicle but then again would have spent 30% more
i have heard they are made in the same factory has khumo
