Writing about the Neuton NT5000 given 96% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 average miles
Test it on my honda civic turbo charged 80 km/h on a sharp wet curve and an dry tire grips impressive. noise and vibration i give it 4/5. Tire is 6 months now 8000 km and tire is on 60%. This tire is far for better and affordable than maxxis, kumho, westlake, durun, gemstone, wanli. Hope they will not increase the price.

Driving on a combination of roads for 11900 average miles
I have these on my car since I bought it new and I knew from the start they were really good 'cause I did 135000 km's with a set of Agilis van tires on my Citroën Berlingo.

Pro: overall grip is excellent, wet or dry. They wear nice and even. I have them on for 19000 km's now and the rear ones are still 90%, so I 've put these in front now. When I drive the car slowly, I hardly hear anything and allthough having a low profile they a very forgiving on worn road surfaces.

Con: still looking, maybe the fact that they are about the most expensive you can buy. But on the other hand they could just as well be the best you can buy, so it's fair.

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 given 86% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 16000 average miles
Previously I had the PS2 and I found those better in the dry but worse in the rain. The PS3 gives less road feedback than the PS2 probaply because it's more finetuned for comfort. Yet in the wet the PS3 is much grippier than the PS2. When driving in the sometimes heavy rain these tires give me much confidence. For wet weather they are by far the best tires I've ever had. So far I've driven 16000 miles with them and the wear is hard to notice. I am very happy with these tires, just the road feedback needs some improvement.

Fantastic tyres - find it hard to fault them for all round performance - and the front pair have lasted around 25000 miles - rears still going strong. Didn't have a second thought about replacing with the same tyres. The only drawback is that the ride isn't great on the 45 profiles, guess that's true of all 45s though...

Have these on my 06 civic 1.8 33,000 mile so far with 4.5 mm of tread left on both front and back was expecting the fronts to wear out first but even wear all round.

Very good winter tyres. Soft and quiet. Great handling on snow and slush. Don't use them during summer as they wear off faster on dry road and are not so forgiving on wet surface as summer tyres, but on snow you'll leave others far behind.

Writing about the Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme given 60% (225-45-17-V)
Driving on mostly country roads for 2000 average miles
I'm a bit confused here... I was looking for winter tyres for my Honda Civic 2010 and since the size 225 45 17 is expensive I started to watch out for decent used ones. Than I found these Vredestein Wintrac Extreme for a reasonable price. I started reading the reviews on this site and the opinion on these tyres were seriously possitive. So I bought them with lots of confidence.

They look great, real sporty and like they can handle a lot.

But than I put them onmy car... different story !
Even on dry roads, lots of understeer, tramlining and not the grip my summer tyres (Michelin Pilot HP) have in winter. But when It's raining things get worse... really poor grip. The car drifts easily.

So I don't understand where all these possitive reviews com from. I don't drive my car real fast. The tyres are no good, even if I drive like an old man. It's a good thing they are progressive enough to let you know when they will loose grip, but nevertheless it shouln'd be with tyres in this pricerange.

I would never buy these new, considering that these are more expensive then Michelin Alpin, wich I got on my other car, who are extremely good in any condition.
