Honda FRV Tyre Review Highlights

Driving on mostly motorways for 11 spirited miles
I bought 4 tires in 2022 they were great when first installed, after 4 months the road noise started to get louder. June 05th 2023 the entire cap came off my right tire, thank God I was not travelling fast. The dealer here in the Cayman Islands do not offer warranties or guarantee's, so I had no choice but to purchase another tire. Let's hope this one does not fail.

These are by far the best tyres I’ve ever used. For years I have used mid range energy saving tyres from the likes of Dunlop and Goodyear but became frustrated with loosing traction in even slightly damp conditions pulling out of junctions and onto roundabouts etc. Even under light/medium throttle the front wheels would spin up. It’s just a 2.2 diesel but quite torquey. With the PS4 fitted it has transformed the car, over the past 18 months since I had these I have never lost traction the same way as before. I’ve noticed no change to fuel economy either despite these being rated lower. I’m about 10000 miles into these now, the rears still look new with the fronts still looking like they’re good for at least another 10K. They inspire more confidence in handling rain or shine and I’d never go back to using other mid range tyres again. Don’t think if you drive an average car like mine then it’s not worth it . All cars, performance or not can benefit greatly from these tyres.

Driving on mostly motorways for 40000 easy going miles
i drive a Honda FR+V of 2004 with the very performant diesel engine 2.2 liter and quite high number of NewtonMeter. The main issue of this cat is that i had to light indexed car tires so really had heavy issues on Bulgarian roads with deep holes and they were NOT reinforced. Not with this proposal. With a value if 94V the weight is much better absorbed and the steering is much more stable. With the V in it, i can perform the 200 km/h as well when needed. I had no crashed tires anymore. So for a heavy of performant care: i would definitely take them again! +je

It is by far the best tyre I used in terms of road performance either in dry or wet. It is quiet too. The wear however is unacceptable as after only 6k kilometres they are down to 5 mm of thread. Thus is for a small MPV with an automatic gearbox, so no wheel spinning or spiritual driving. If it wasn't for wear it would have been a perfect tyre. Disappointed.

Average in the dry, shockingly bad in the wet. Fitted these to the rear of my people carrier and suffered rear end breakaway at moderate speed on roundabouts (Uniroyals on the front). Gave me a nasty shock on a mildly wet road when the back end suddenly stepped out of line.

Tyres have also gone out of shape causing a loud whining noise at 30-50 mph - diagnosed by tyre specialist with laser measuring equipment. Have had to replace them with 4.5mm of tread remaining. Would not buy these ever again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
I replaced my standard Primacy tyres on the front of my front wheel drive, and the difference was noticable immediately. The car simply felt more sure footed straight away. I have now covered about 2,000 miles with them, and could not be more pleased. Day to day driving is more involving. The tyres give the impression of being a bit 'sticky' and in both wet and dry conditions are a vast improvement over the standard summer biased tyres. I have yet to try them in snow or ice, but I have no doubt they will prove to be effective. I have not noticed any difference in braking distance, although my impression is that accelaration times may be down a bit, not that that bothers me. I will be replacing the rear tyres with them before winter sets in.

Front tyre on Honda FRV. Overall tyre have been good but down to legal limit after only 16500 miles and therefore have not lasted as long as I would have wanted. I am not heavy driver.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 average miles
Expensive to buy and that is the main reason I will opt for something else but other than the price, these are a good all round touring tyre. Relatively quiet and comfortable, good quality build and reasuring in both wet and dry conditions. Only gripes is that they do tend to tramline under enthusiastic acceleration and the wear rate is average at best My pair got chopped early due to one of them picking up a puncture at 4mm.
