MINI Cooper S Works Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Pirelli P ZERO Asimmetrico given 91% (205-45-17-)

Wont ever buy a flat run tyre again, when my OEM pirelli flat runs expired i thought i would try a non flat run tyre and what transformation to how my mini JCW now drives, its far more comfortable, quieter, and handles in wet and dry conditions 1000 times better, very very highly recom, what were BMW thinking by using flat runs on any of their fine range of cars

These tyres are brilliant in the dry, but it's in the wet they really come into their own for me. Far better than any non RF's Ive used so far. Will definitely be buying a set to replace these.

I think production of this size has ceased, pity, have to find alternative.
Very hard to get performance tyres in this size now.

Just whacked these on replacing god awful toyo proxes 4 tyres. WOW, after the initial scrubbing in, the car just sticks to the road.

Solid road holding and much more confidence inspiring. Well worth the price. Not had a chance to give them a go in the wet.

I have to say I cannot believe TOYO discontinued this tyre. For the money it is excellent. Perfect feel and balance and awesome dry grip. Wet grip is also very good but would be dependant on the type of car you have.

Mine is pretty torquey but on say a NA car that produces peak torque higher you will probably find these more suitable.

Wear is very good, feel through the steering wheel excellent and gorgeous tread pattern. Bring them back!!

i put the on a mini!!its not the ideal tire to put i am more of a semi slick tire guy. the car was uncontrollable i am satisfied with grid in the wet and the tire wear. to get an idea how much aggressive i used them i manage to pill of hole pieces.

Bought these after reading reviews. I drive VERY spirited and like to push the car, so really do need the tyres to be responsive. These, however, were average to good in the dry, but APPALLING in the wet! I had absolutely no confidence going around corners in the wet - in fact they were worse than the Pirelli runflats I had on before them!!! I won't be buying them again - I changed to Dunlop SP Sport, and OMG WHAT a difference in both wet and dry!

These run-flats were supplied from new and I hate them! the run-flat construction means a very stiff side wall hence terrible tyre-roar and a very jittery ride. Tramlining is a problem and road undulations rip the wheel from my hands on occasion which is quite disconcerting. in the wet the grip is pretty bad and on a wet roundabout just understeers - again dangerous. my previous Mini was transformed with Goodyear F1s so intend to get the Asymmetrics asap.

Can't wait to get rid and after just 9000 miles the fronts are on the tread limit indicators. Avoid!

Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
After having T1S all around on my 2004 Mini Cooper S Works, I was expecting good things with this PX4 having being recommended them by my local tyre fitter.

After letting them bed in for a 100 miles I went for a spirited drive on some dual carriage ways with long sweeping bends and obvious straights.

Let me say this is the most dangerous tyre I have ever come across. On rutted roads I would get the traction control light flashing whilst braking from 70mph due to the tyres moving about so much at the rear.

The tread blocks move about so much you can just push it with your finger. Going around 70 degree bends at just 30 mph, you could feel the car sliding out from the back end. Also confirmed by the DSC light.

Went back to the tyre fitters and they replaced them for me with some better tyres.

God only knows what these will be like in the wet / winter. Glad I had them swapped out.
