Driving on mostly country roads for 3500 spirited miles

Not a sports tyre - noticeable if you've just switched from sports tyres - but fine for normal to moderately brisk driving. Quieter and softer ride than a sports tyre but lacks the precise on-rails feel when cornering harder than most people do, and tends to go into oversteer when a sports tyre could be pushed further.

But most of miles are commuting so I opted for comfort and fuel economy this time. I like the way that when it breaks traction from a fast start it does it in a smooth controllable manner, not in great lurching hops like my previous Proxes did.

Comfort and noise levels are good. The main plus with EfficientGrip is supposed to be better fuel consumption. I measure MPG on every tank so I have a good picture. I am finding about 2-3% improved mileage compared with older sporty/non eco tyres. This should add up to a reasonable amount of money over the life of the tyres but it's too early to assess wear rate.

I would happily recommend EfficientGrip for everyday driving, not for speed demons.
