Mercedes Benz C Class coupe 250 CDI sport Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 given 93% (255-35-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
Perfect all round tyres in almost every situation. They're very good in the dry with significant reduction in spinning the rear wheels out of junctions and suitably grippy around bends with a bit of throttle which on other tyres would push the rear end out. Again, the wet, absolutely amazing tyre. Previously had conti contisportcontact 5's which did have issues with grip out of junctions in the wet no matter what the tread depth was and some aquaplaning properties when going slightly too fast. These are much better! Can carry a higher speed through standing water without even flinching. So far the wear has been good too. The contisportcontact are notorious for premature wear but the Goodyear's seem to be wearing evenly and relatively slowly. In terms of noise, I haven't noticed any significant difference in noise against the contisportcontact 5. Well recommended tyre!

Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 average miles
These lasted 20K on the rear of my car. These are MO approved tyres. I have bought the same again to replace the current set. They grip strongly in the dry and give a lot of confidence. They may not last as long as other tyres, but I wouldnt by anything else

Writing about the Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 given 83% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 8000 spirited miles
As far a winter performance tyres go - very good.
They are a little noisy and feedback lacking due to softer compound but grip is good.
Haven't put them to the test in snow as yet, but certainly better in icy conditions than summer / all season tyres. Very confident in cold conditions.
They get very loud and even less feedback when temps over 15C so make sure you get your summers back on pronto for spring! Tear wear minimal after first season and 8000 miles.
