Mitsubishi Evo 4 Tyre Review Highlights

Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
I have an evolution 4 lancer and drag race with these tyres on 500hp. My 60ft. Time is 1.8 seconds and 11.5 on the 1/4 mile. For a street tyre the grip is amazing !!!!!

Writing about the Toyo T1R given 92% (215-45-17-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
I have used toyo t1r's for a number of years and have had a set on my Mitsubishi evo 4 (running 380 bhp) for over 3 years. Never had any grip issues in the wet or dry. laterally or in in straight line. They have enough grip to stop the wheel spinning up when you do a 5k launch!

One thing i do wonder is whether or not Toyo have changed the compound as i see some advertised with a wet braking score of "c" and some with a wet braking score of "e". i know the ones i bought were rated as "e" and TBH they are great in any condition. Maybe the newer "c" rated tyres might be better at braking in a straight line but possibly due to a compound change (or how else do they have different ratings) not so good at lateral movement

to test this out i have bought a set for my Honda CRZ 205 45 17 (not sure on wet grip rating yet.)which i will also test out and post a review. But be sure that these are great tyres i had a set fitted to my rear wheel drive r33 GTSt skyline and they coped with 500 bhp and 500 lbs of torque so i'm at a loss to see how they could be so bad on some peoples cars unless they haven't inflated them properly or have geometry issues....

Driving on a combination of roads for 700 spirited miles
Recently put four of these on my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and have been pleasantly surprised, they offer plenty of wet and dry grip but i have to agree with the other review that there is some road noise. I push my car hard, especially into and out of corners and the Matrac's really do work well, maybe they just suit my car and wheel combination. Overall very impressed for the money spent.

Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 average miles
Went off recomendation with these tyres, but found they felt almost jelly like when pushing on, thought it would improve when worn in more but never really got confident.

From talking to others they seem better in a lower profile than I was running

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 given 29% (205-50-16-)
Driving on track for 500 spirited miles
These tyres fell apart after 1/2 a track day. They are probably OK on the road for avearge driving, but I would not use them for fast raod or track days.
