I had those tires a few years ago, they were great in all winter conditions, great tires. They did not wear out much, were comfortable and did not increase fuel consumption.

I drove the tyres for 6 summer seasons. I drove them for more than 45000km. They were still not weared down, but they started to crack on the sides because of the rubber that started to harden because of the sun i guess. I would definetely buy them again.

When I first put these on front of the car I was really pleased. Handled well, stopped well in wet and dry, quite. Great, but then I don't push the car and do a fair amount of motorway driving. 17,000miles later and the tyres are down to 2-3mm and performance has tailed off in last 1,500 miles. Very disappointed with the rate of wear.

I have a pair of these on the front of my 2003 406 HDi 110. I will shortly be buying another pair to make a full set.

These are an 'all season' tyre but also have the 'mountain and snowflake'logo on them. They don't look particularly pretty, but are fantastic tyres for our UK climate. In the recent snow flurries they have helped me get to places where some 4x4 with normal 'summer' tyres have not been able to get to.

They are not however a 'performance' tyre. But if you drive briskly but sensibly they are a fantastic all rounder. Incredible grip in the wet, and even better on icy, slushy, or snowy conditions.

I will be sticking with these for the forseeable future as they are great value for money.

I purchased my car last year with 4 new tyres. These were Event WL905 tyres.

Dry grip very good. A very good dry tyre. If I needed tyres for use only in the dry I'd say "these are the tyres for the job. I can think of no better 'dry' tyre for the price".

However, when things get wet on the roads, these really are 'event'-ful tyres.

Drive briskly (but sensibly) as you would on 'normal' tyres, and these will understeer, gradualy switching to oversteer in a manner that the old Audi Quattro Works rally drivers were able to do in the 1980s. Remember though, that this under and over steering on these tyres happens at anything over 30mph in the wet.

I changed 2 fronts to Pirelli P6000 (as fitted as standard from the factory to my car). The understeer has now gone, but the oversteer still remains on wet roads.

With winter approaching, I am getting rid of these awful tyres that still afflict the rear wheels of my car.

I think I will put some chewing gum and elastic bands around the rims and draw some tread pattern on them. I really do think that will be better than Event WL905 'tyres'.

Please - do not risk it with these tyres unless you only drive on dry roads.

As for being progressive - sometimes they are, sometimes they're not. And that inconsistency is a warning in itself.

I would say that these are the worst, most dangerous tyres I've ever driven on.

Have now done 8000 miles with these tyres fitted to my Peugeot 406 estate, and there is still about 5.8 mm of tread on them, this means that I should get about 25000 miles out of them, which is very acceptable for the price ( I will not pay extortionate prices for tyres as I do not drive "On the limit"). I have used most makes of tyres in my lifetime, but have found these to be amongst the top 3 (Uniroyal is No 3 and Avons are No1). The lack of noise from them is superb, the rolling resistance is brilliant, and they have good dry and wet grip with good feedback. For the price they are excellent. Nice one NEXEN

Writing about the Avon ZV5 given 87% (195-65-15-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 23000 average miles
This is the best value for money I have had for the front tyres on my Peugeot 406 2.0 ltr HDi. I got 23,000 miles out of them doing a mixture of long distance and urban driving (mainly urban). This compares to my a very meadiocre performance from Goodyear NCT5 I used before. Avons were GBP 5.00 more, worth every penny.

Just great ......in these hard times of taxation & unrest!!Affordable, hard wearing,little or no road noise,corner V well ...Why pay more? I get 15K out of a set on a Peugeot 406 HDI.....Try them and see!

Had a a pair of 215/55/16 up front. Not too bad in the dry... In the wet they're shockingly bad. They spin & go where they want to. I won't be buying these or their LingLong tyres ever again.

When people say use decent tyres, please listen to them. You life depends on it.

I'm trying to spin the tread off these I have fitted..

Not too bad in the dry, they grip ok, a totally different story in the wet though. In the wet I found these tyres to just spin when you demand power, even worse if you're exiting a roundabout or on a sharp turn & apply the power whilst exiting.

I won't buy these again, infact after buying these I've told all my friends to avoid Wanli-ditch-finders.

These are the OE tyres for the vehicle & they're very impressive to say the least. They hold a car of this is on the road very well. As they wear they lose a bit of grip in the wet but that is to be expected.
Only issue I have now is they're no longer made & I have to find something similar to replace them as I don't like the look of the new P6.
