Renault Laguna II Tyre Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 given 73% (225-45-17-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 500 average miles
Honestly I have to say that if you are looking for fuel saving tyres with good grip and good handling then-Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is the right tyre for you . And if you are looking for really comfortable tyres even when outside temperature is very low then look for Uniroyal Rainsport 3 ! NOT a 5 ! And on the top of it, this Uniroyal's will get you safely at a high speed trough the deep patches of water on motorways ! If only a grip is better I will definitely buy Rainsport 3 again and again ! Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is NOT comfortable as stated maybe in 15 & 16 inch sizes but definitely NOT 17 inch and above !!! I have just done some longer driving on M5 Motorway with temperature around 17-18 degrees and not really impressed with as there is no comfort present at all ! I'm NOT interested in tyre longevity as I love fresh rubber !!! So I won't be probably buying Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 again !??! And question is what tyre to buy next time as they are nearly all the same expensive dream ! There should be something like a try before you buy without any doubt !

Poor at wet roads especialy on turns. Will never buy again, i had few really unpleasynt situations I've never had with other brands.

Writing about the Tigar Syneris given 43% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 average miles
The fastest wearing tyre that I have ever one! After only 3500km of driving (normal stayle of driving, half of that in town and half on motorway) spent 2mm, pressure was controlled continuously and tires were balanced. Conclusion is that Tigar Syneris will last about 11000km. It is extremly short even for a budget tyre. I have other tyers before on my car, some cheap some more expensive(Michelin, Dunlop, Nokian, Sava) but syneris is BY FAR the worst tyres. A know that is much cheaper then Michelin... but not worth a dollar/euro...
In the range of cheap Chinese tyres.

Writing about the Mastersteel PROSPORT given 50% (205-55-16-)

DRY WEATHER TYRES ARE OK, BUT WITH WET ROAD CONSDITIONS PLEASE TAKE CARE WITH SUDDENLY BRAKING, AND TAKE CARE WITH ACCELERATION AT ROUND ABOUTS

Writing about the Autogrip P308 given 87% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
I was very sceptical to buy a budget tyre, once I always fit well known tyre brands such as Dunlop and contis. The tyre is above any of my expectations with very low noise (same level with my previous Dunlop's sport Max rt) and great handling in dry and wet. It's a little bit soft at when the tyre pushed hard to turn (not as sharp as Dunlop) but it is by far more comfortable than rt. Great tyre for heavy passenger cars. I don't recommend it only to the very fast cars and truly sport style drivers.

Writing about the Bridgestone A001 given 53% (225-45-17-)

Possibly the worst tyres I ever had. On wet roads, several times the car
broke out in a curve. Never again.

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 given 100% (225-45-17-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 2000 average miles
These are the best tyres I have driven on in over forty years. They are quiet, have no issues with balancing, and fuel economy has improved both towing(caravan) and solo.Grip on the road is excellent and a softer ride absorbing uneven road conditions.
Cannot say how long they will last only done 2000 miles but to be honest all the positives make this a great tyre.

Fantastic tyres for the price. Replaced my Michelin on the front in my Laguna II and Im impressed. Cornering on wet road, pulling on wet road and I dont get a wheelspin at all. Suddenly my car is less noisy compared to my old tyres and "feels" much better now. Will be getting them again to replace my rear tyres soon.

Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 spirited miles
Just bought a pair of these for the front of my 2002 Laguna ll 3L v6 after comparing prices and looking at many other peoples opinions,I was a little bit schepticle.I've put tyres on my cars before priced well in excess of £100 and have been dissapointed, these cost me £63 each.Don't be a brand snob,Barum have been manufacturing car tyres for a very long time, including those for motorcycles and even tractors, and even though many are made in what we used to call the eastern block these people are no mugs, have a little faith with a cheaper alternative,TRUST ME THESE STICK

I've destroyed two brand new tyres because of the potholes. Horrible quality on bad roads! Never again! Badyear tyres.

was in 2 minds not to get these as the reviews all said sidewalls were soft.I got them fitted, went home and parked with half my wheel on a slight raised path. The tyre was half flat!!!! NO!!!tyre walls are putty.Too late now.Holiday to scotland ahead.
Went on holiday so raised pressure for motorway.5 people and boot full.100 mph...sorry 70 mph all the way..no problem.Once the boot was empty, i started seing how much grip they had.very good.not quite as good as conti 5, but not far off and £35 a tyre cheaper. All holiday the dry grip was good.In the wet they were very good too.Now on greasy slippery roads where cheap tyres are bad. These were good.Quite impressed. The more mile they do, the better they are.My car is 205 bhp and normaly spins the wheels in 1st and 2nd.Not any more.No idea what they will wear like. Will i buy them again?YES.was scared of tyres busting on rocky roads.I went over loads...no problems.Just shocked me how soft they realy are
