I really couldn't tell the diference between grip in the wet and dry. I have done 14000 miles with them and still they have 4-5mm left. I am a careful driver but not a slow driver and I have given the tyres some testing at times. One test was flooring it around a 90 degree corner in the pooring rain to show a friend how good they are in the wet, i probably went from about 10-40mph (very quickly) and the traction control light barely blinked (one tiny flash) and the car did exactly as it would in the dry. Do these tyres defy physics? The car is a 130 bhp tdi

They lasted 20k on a front end heavy diesel with mainly motorway driving withs bits and pieces of town and country roads.
Dry grip was good and wet grip was ok and for 50 quid per corner for a premium tyre i was happy with the price.
Now im not going to say these are as good as Conti 3 or Michellin PS2 as they are not, but for what the cars capabilities are I was happy.

I've had countless sets of these tyres on my car for the last 80k I've done over almost 4 years. I once tried another tyre and the rear of the car felt really really loose and I had no confidence in the tyres at all.
With the NS2's fitted I feel the car is really well planted on the road in the wet or dry. Never had a 4 wheel drift on them. I drive hard and fast when the mood is right and they never let me down. On long journey's the road noise isn't noticeable and my car is lowered on coil overs with poly bushes fitted all round. We drove 3000 miles to Spain and back and it was a pleasure to drive on French motorways at 80mph (legally!)
My golf does seem to wear the inside edge of the rear before the rest of the tyre, but I've been told this is pretty normal with 225 tyres
These tyres are pretty useless in the snow though, but I doubt there is anything worth trying in a 225/40 size. I haven't got stuck yet, but there are times when didn't know if I'd get up those hills lol!
The price seems to be going up all the time on these. Last set I bought I'm sure it was £200 for 4, but now I see £240 :(

had these tyres on my car allround, and the rears are just coming upto their legal limit and thee were on the car when i bought it, were not brand new then either and ive done 42,000 miles on them.
as for in the wt ive never slid, but do wheelspin a bit if pulling off at lights etc.
as for roadnoise never really noticed, there quiet, compared to some pirelli 6000 tyres ive had that were noisy.
would buy again, although believe they have been replaced with the excellence tyre, and now production is overseas are they the same standard. i dont know?

these are the best i've had so far!despite the underrated brand. dry grip is very good! wet grip is good aswell! steering is quite responsive despite the 45 ratio.
Cons: They seem to wear A BIT faster then i thought, no rim protection at all,
looks a bit narrower than other tyres with the same width (i am not the only one to say so on this site)
but hzving tested other brands, this is a great tyre for the money!

got these to replace my rear sp sport maxx wich had the wrong load index (87)
these are 94, and the sidewalls are not even much firmer! i have had them for a very short while now, and am already starting to regret not having bought something more sporty
grip seems really good on dry. and the tread looks wider than the actual size.
on the other hand, i think these tyres are more of a family saloon tyre than a sporty tyre.

Put these on the front of my Golf because I was fed up with the previous (cheap) tyres not gripping in cold or wet conditions. The Toyos were a big improvement and good value for money. I don't know how they are going to wear yet.

Original tyres rotated 10k and changed 19k with 4mm left. Car does wander slightly on mway as first poster says. Otherwise a satisfactory all-rounder, would buy again but no stock so fitted Uniroyal Rainmaster, four at £250 fitted, very pleased so far.
