ive been driving now for 22yrs and i can honestly say they are by far the best tyres ive ever experienced ,especially in wet conditions they hold the road exceptionally well.travelling has become more comfortable compared to other tyres would highly recommend and certainly buy again .FIRST CLASS************

Writing about the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta given 100% (225-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
The Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta is a truly fantastic tyre. They stick you to the road in wet and dry conditions and are quite long lasting, depending on your style of driving of course.

I'm due a new set of tires and will most definitely be going for 4 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's. They blow alot og big brand tires like Goodyear Eagle F1s (GSD3s) straight out of the water

Awesome Tyre!

Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 spirited miles
Amazing tyre! Far better than Conti Sport Contact 2's and 3's I have had! Car chipped to 240bhp, the Conti's would spin in 2nd on a wet road under full power, the PS2 just grip - I'm blown away by the difference. They are more comfortable and quiet by far, yet give amazing feedback around the bends. Straight line breaking wet or dry is spot on as well. 3000 miles of mixed driving and no noticeable drop in performance or tread depth. I've had the Conti's on 3 Golf's now, just replacing them with the same each time - what a mistake I wish I had made the move to PS2's earlier! Can't recommend them enough and no I don't work for Michelin before you ask - just pleased to be able to report about a tyre the performs far better than the rest (on a front wheel drive Golf Mk5)!

Writing about the Michelin Pilot Alpin given 96% (205-55-16-H)
Driving on mostly country roads for 30000 spirited miles
michelin piliot alpin the best allseason tyre on the market extremly long lasting considerin my style of driving realy even wear compared to other competetors on the market such as vredstein which wears heavily on the shoulders of the tyre limiting ultimate milage.
michelin alpin has the technology of michelin a higher carbon content which makes the tyre slightly harder but doubles the milage.. a must buy...

Used mainly on B-roads and also used on the track. Great grip for the price. Will be buying again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 20 spirited miles
reviewing these again after 20k miles. in that time theyve been back on track again, regularly thrashed hard on b roads and driven on motorways for thousnds of miles.

its time to change again as theyre just above the markers and ive got to take the car to le mans and i dont think the french would be too impressed with 2mm of tyre tread (even wear, but thatll be due to suspension geometry)

the tyre performed consistently right through to the end of its life. the tyres inspire so much confidence that i got a set for my gf's 05 fiesta when that was due.

in hard use you might be left wanting a little more grip in the dry, but thats only at 8/10 - 9/10 driving, you dont do that often.

in the wet they never feel phased. on the odd time ive had to lean on them a little bit harder than expected ive been impressed, most memorable would be the cat and fiddle pass when it was so wet there was water streaming across the road and you could still really push on.

road noise in my gf's fiesta was massively reduced compared to the contis it had before, but in my golf ive modified it too much to really appreciate reductions in road noise.

i highly recommend these, id have another set if i didnt like trying new things so much, but the fact i put some on my girlfriend's car ought to speak volumes.

definately a performance bargain

Writing about the Toyo T1R given 86% (195-50-15-V)
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 spirited miles
Excellent performance. Best tyre I've ever had so far, only downside is they wear far too quick (9000 miles done and the fronts need replacing) but they can be found at very cheap prices especially in 195/50/15 format so the value of them makes up for the wear. Never lost grip in the dry unless wanted to, and only had a brown moment in the wet once, but the tyres gripped well in that certain experience.
Great breaking ability and corners very true and straight.
Sides could do with reinforcing some more as I find it they wear too quick on the shoulders.
Excellent tyre choice for trackdays and fast road, very popular amongst these two categories.
Buying again as we speak (£28 a pop, bargain!) and will carry on buying until the replacement shows up.

These tyres replaced some Conti Contact Sports on the front end and IMMEDIATELY, there wasa complete lack of slip-and-slide in the vehicle.

The in-cabin noise decreased significantly, and the feel of the vehicle was improved noticeably around corners and in tight bends.

Dry response was improved and wet reponse was far more positive - in fact, the vehicle felt more "solid and sticky," on the road.

I'm going to get some put on the back end at the end of the month. These tyres ROCK.

definately a performance bargain. ive tried a lot of tyres and was due a change again and didnt fancy going back to the predictable eagle f1, i like to try new things.

i read a few detailed/useful reviews of this tyre (briskoda site, etc) so thought id give them a try.

their dry limits are comparable with F1s, Proxies, Paradas, they provide sufficent grip for "spirited" road use, you wont be left wanting unless you like to go berserk on the road.

in the dry, these really do seem to be on par with eagle F1s, particularly with wet braking and their ability to control standing water.

i did approximately 100 miles on these tyres at the nurburgring a couple weekends ago, again more hard driving. i was very suprised that were no signs of excessive wear, only light feathering after hard use.

they are predictable at the limits (the limits were not exceeded massively though), the break away is very progressive (these tyres are also very popular with E30 bmw drivers for pretty much this reason)

so far wear is all even, i think theyll last as long as my yokohama paradas did (20k miles), i am more than happy with this tyre and for the price theyre an utter performance bargain.
