This tyre is very well...highly recomended. I'm driving it on vw golf mk5 1.4 80hp. driven on all types of road, dry, wet, icy, powder, fresh snow, ice and snow, -17C in winter condition. tyre gives very good feedback on the snowy road. So far the wear rating is on maximum cuz i have only 1000km with them. HIGHLY RECOMENDED...

hey, I have them, they are really good, I tested them a little and they passed the test very nice...last year I had also Alpin 4 (the old generation ) and I can feel the difference. I don't care too much about noise, comfort or fuel economy on winter, I put more accent on braking performances, on traction, on stability, on saving me and my car from disaster in case.

had continentals on the back and Falken 452's on the front of a golf GTI. Just swapped for an entire set of these. They grip the road so much better especially in the dry, and suprising in the wet. No understeer squeel, little road noise on motorways and wearing well. Would definately buy again

I had these tires fitted all round on my mk2 jetta as a slight stretch to check and they handled beautifully i couldn't fault them i never span out or lost control and on coil overs the car handled like it was on tracks i have recently used the same set up on my fiances mk2f polo and it has given the same great results i could go faster in the wet round the bends than i ever could

These came fitted to the rear my car when I bought it, fitted by the dealer to get it through the MOT..
Grip is ok in the dry, but that is about the best I can say about them.
They have very poor grip in the wet, and loose grip suddenly. I have worn out Toyo proxes on the front of the car, and on a wet roundabout the back end of the car is always trying to step out even at low speeds.
They are also a noisy tyre. In the dry it souds like the rear wheel bearings are shot.
So I am afraid I cannot recommend them, even if you are on a budget. Hopefully the new EU laws will rid the UK of such poor tyres as these.
They are coming off the car ASAP and being replaced with something much better, as I don't feel safe letting my family travel in the car with them fitted.
