Only just switched to these, so can give no info currently on wear or whether I would buy again. Have had P6000's on this car ever since I bought it. Always had vibration, even on new P6000s, grip was never anything to get excited about.
HUGE difference with these Vredesteins. NO vibration finally! Huge grip in dry and wet. Steering seems a lot more responsive - I have had to lessen my steering input even at slow town speeds as to start with I was lurching the car about. Comfortable and quiet.
We will see what the life is like - had 27k miles out of my front P6000s and 47k miles out of the rears.
So far very impressed, and if they give reasonable life, would easily rate above the P6000s

I had this tyres on my vw passat for 21000 miles and still legal ( front),rear still looks new. Great tyres for UK conditions. Good in the snow and icy road ( car just go from the traffic lights while others cant move ), good in the rain, on dry road could be a bit better but I like to take quick corners so to compare with summer tyre its not the same but still ok. You can get it from the internet shop for around 70£ in that size. To summarize good tyre next to goodyear 4 season tyre in the test but much cheaper, save you money , you wont need two sets. One tyre for whole year.

Optigrip bought on promise of continuing wet weather performance throughout life. Very pleased with performance so far - even in recent snow.

Great all round tyre. I've done 10000 miles and there is about 4mm left on the fronts and the rears are barely worn. Very pleased with the wear on these tyres. Just about to swap front and rear around now. Dry grip is superb, as is the wet grip, although the fronts are starting to spin up under hard acceleration in the wet. The car had Dunlop Sport Maxx 16" as standard but I didn't get the chance to test these as i put on the 18" rims so I can't compare the Falken's to any other tyre. Would definitely buy again in future

Great tyre - much quieter than the G'year Efficient Grip they replaced.
Even the wife noticed much better response on cold/wet road!
Looking forward to some snow and ice now!

I've just had to reluctantly replace my Hydragrips after two renewals. they were really good alround but especially reassuring in wet condition

Very impressed with the 'chuckability' of the car on country roads, easy to 'read' in the wet - can hold it right on the limit - need a lower profile to fully explore dry road limits (I never got there - you would really need a circuit to fully explore).
Very confidence inspiring on motorways (usually 80 to 90, wet or dry!), the only thing to watch for being flooded areas, otherwise driving in wet same performance characteristics as dry, not quite! :-)
Watch for the diesel spills/ change in road surface, readable when you find them but since you are probably closer to the limit on these tyres (confidence) you may not have much room to spare!
Big disapointment is wear rate, fronts have little left after 10,000 miles - rears about 30% worn - would fit again if I can find them!

Fitted these tyres just before the snow came Dec 2010, nothing short of astounding, not only on ice, slush, fresh and packed snow but also in the wet. They are much quieter than the Nokian’s they replaced (could only stretch to two fronts) comparison with summer tyres (Nokian’s) which remained on the back was like night and day in the mixed conditions experienced to date, easily coped with journeys from Wales to Birmingham and also to South coast during the bad snow where other (even 4x4) cars were struggling. Have only done about 2000 miles since fitting so not sure about wear but you don't get this type of tyre for high mileage. Have had many other winter/snow tyres previously mostly in Europe some even with studs, but these are a quantum leap above anything else I have experienced in such conditions. Would unreservedly recommend to other drivers.
