No complaints with these as the standard VW fitment, but have yet to try anything else. Pretty amazing grip on dry roads and not had any issues in the wet either.
I was still using them in the snow, and the grip was incredible considering the conditions (fairly steep hills in 6 inches of fresh snow proved no problem). Fronts need changing now after about 23,000 miles.

Had Pirelli P-Zero on before and wanted something a little cheaper this time. I am extremely impressed with these tyres great for price i payed at £113 pound a tyre great value for money and will definitely fit again.

Loads on grip in normal road conditions although in cold weather they seem to loose a fair bit of this grip (in fact they're rubbish in winter). They definitely do a good job of putting my 210BHP to the road but for the price (£230/tyre) I expected perhaps a little more. I have had other tyres previously that offer almost as much grip for a much smaller price tag.

Excellent tyres (excluding winter) but a little too expensive

Writing about the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx given 39% (235-40-18-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 25000 spirited miles
I replaced the Dunlop Sport 01's on my car with Sport Maxx's.
Sport Maxx's are the worst tyres I have ever had, handling became unpredictable, torque steering under acceleration was horrific. Under hard braking the ESP kept butting in. The car understeered when it previously hadn't. The car became a dog to drive.

I will never buy Dunlop Sport Maxx's again, yet the Sport 01's were spot on.
