idientical tire rebranded as Westlake sp06.
i went from Goodyear eagle F1's to these tyres. i cant fault them. im driving a 2.5l subaru legacy and towing a camping trailer round devon/cornwall 1000 miles covered. lots of steep hills in the dry and in the wet. I never doubted them once, they are silent on the road compared to the goodyears i could have a conversation with the wife and hear the radio. i had been spunking money up the wall with the goodyears thinking performance/safety came at a price, never again. I dont drive like a idiot so never took them to 'the limit' but for a everyday use on a heavy powerful car they are better than i would have ever expected.
They are cheap so if you dont like them stick them on ebay...

Just fitted a full set of these to my Astra after reading all the good reviews that this tyre gets. I cant belive how they have completely transformed my car!!! Before it used to understeer when cornering hard but not anymore feels very stable indeed, very impressed with them to say the least!! They are also a very supple tyre & smooth out all the bumps in the road too. I have only driven 100 miles on them so far, so I'm sure they will continue to improve once broken in fully. Looking forward to putting them through there paces on some wet roads next...

Fitted to a Mercedes C250TD rear wheel drive no traction control.
Bought these in October 2010 encase it snowed and boy it did!

Can't possibly explain how good these tyres were in the snow. It transformed a car that would have been unusable in the snow to a car that I could not get stuck (and believe me I really really tried.)

I took the car to steep snow covered inclines in an attempt to find the limit of these tyres and never managed to get the car to slip.

Was passing countless spinning small FWD cars while I had no grip problems at all.

Not only will I buy these again, I have bought them again for my new car.

P.s. I had 60kg of weight in the boot to help traction too.

ROLL ON THE SNOW!

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta KU39 given 91% (205-55-16-W)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1780 average miles
After the first bout of snow and ice in November 2010 i found that my previous tyres (Bridgestone Potenza's had been damaged on the front nearside. In truth i was looking to change them (2.2mm tread)as they were performing extremely badly on my Vauxhall Astra. I looked around to try and identify a tyre that would give me a good balance between grip in the wet and the dry and my biggest bugbear tyre noise. I eventually settled on a pair of Kumho Ecsta KU 39 (Y rated) at the unbelievable price of £68.00 a corner. I did not have to wait long to test them out as two days later the bad weather returned and i was not disappointed.

The grip in the dry was exceptional a clear case of point and shoot; point the car into the corner and it would hold on without the slightest suggestion that the front end was going to step out. With my previous selections the Bridgestone Potenzas and prior to them the NCT 5's, when reaching the limits both tyres seemed nervy, edgy and your heart was at times in your mouth. Likewise in the wet the Kumhos give the driver a sense of assurance that nothing will occur without them letting the driver now in advance. The Potenzas in particular had a propensity to break awy in the wet without warning and most disconcertingly in quite innocuous situations. Probably the biggest compliment i can pay the Kumhos is i feel totally connected with both the car and the road since they have been fitted an experience i have had with any of our cars (mine and the wifes) for perhaps 5 years or so.

Some of my colleagues suggested when i first got the Kumhos that i had taken a backward step from the Kumhos well 1780 miles in i would beg to differ. Tyre wear seems at this stage to be better than both the potenzas and the NCT's (time will only tell for sure) but the comfort and tyre noise running the Kumhos blow the others out of the water.

How the tyres have performed to date has made me a massive fan of this tyre to the extent that on this car i will stick with this combination in the future. Add to this the unbelievable price for such a high quality tyre i'm a true convert.
