195/50 15 Tyre Review Highlights

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 rated 81% while driving a Nissan Micra
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 easy going miles
the michelin pilot sport 3 was fitted on my micra k12 1.2 and i was super satisfied with them. all four tyres were fitted at the same time on new wheel rims. i drove around 33k kms with them and still plenty of tread left. it was around approx 4mm tread across all tyres. so i guess may be 40% of its life remained.

the first 15k kms were insane. the tyres were very responsive and you could feel that they would not let you down. i was very happy with stability especially in fast corners and quick steering where the car remained stable at high speed and the tyres responded. I felt much more comfortable driving in the wet with them, i could feel the tyres had more grip that in the dry. The tyres needed to be fired up to good temperature in order to perform well and once u drove normally around with them, you could easily start going into fast corners at high speed without feeling that the tyres would slide. in fact in wet conditions, you could afford to do things you don't normally do when it's raining.

the performance started to drop as the tyres started to wear out but it was hardly noticeable. hitting the 20k km mark, driving was still very pleasant and still plenty of tread left but i would say its performance compared to when its new, may have drop approx. around lets say 75%. i think that one could take its life tread away completely and still feel comfortable driving around because their drop in performance is at low rate. well road noise is there like any other tyres so they didn't disturbed, in fact it was pleasant hearing them as i could say to any1 'hear my pilot sport roaring' lol will definitely recommend these tyres and will buy again in a heartbeat/

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 PS3 rated 83% while driving a Toyota Corolla E11 G6
Driving on mostly country roads for 7000 spirited miles
Changed my tyres back in 2015 from Toyo Proxes 4, which I always had in high consideration but after crashing because of understeer and smashing a wheel making it impossible to salvage that tyre, I decided to try a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 3... and what a change and a pleasant surprise it was! Never had another episode of understeer since I'm using PS3's. They have good dry grip but once they are warm they are even better. Wet grip is where these tyres really shine and I trust them even more then in the dry, also never experienced aquaplanning. Braking is also very good in both dry and wet conditions. Comfort is ok and they don't make much rolling sound. In my opinion their only weak point is the wear but the grip never gets exasted from brand new till they finish and even if I go below the recommended tread level they're still better then the Toyo Proxes 4. My car has a swapped 4E-FTE engine producing around 200bhp so I abuse from it around 80% of my driving, these tyres always make me feel safe in any situation, have been using them for over 8 years now and don't intend of changing to another brand or model.

Nokian SeasonProof rated 88% while driving a Mercedes Benz A
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 average miles
First time purchasing all-season tyres. The choice between the various brands and models was made favoring snow conditions, which is the most difficult situation to manage for any average driver. The choice fell on these Nokian Seasonproof. The handling and safety on dry and wet surfaces is absolutely acceptable. The only condition of caution is that, like all tyres, it tends to slip on hairpin bends when the road is greasy. If you moderate the speed there are no problems. If the road is only wet but not greasy, no problem. But the real strengths are driving on snow, absolutely like many winter ones, fantastic rolling without inertia, with abundant fuel savings, and very low wear even in the summer months with more than 30 degrees celsius.
This is the fourth year and at the rear they are still almost like new, at the front where there is traction, they are almost halfway.
I couldn't be more satisfied, truly a tire that doesn't make you regret, but makes you forget about changing tires between summer and winter. Excellent quality at the right price.

Michelin CrossClimate Plus rated 91% while driving a Ford Fiesta
Driving on a combination of roads for 21000 spirited miles
Pros:
Excellent dry cornering and braking
Very good on snow and ice
Even with occasional faster driving the tyres have lasted over 20,000 miles and still have between 3/4mm of tread left.

Cons:
Does not perform particularly well in the rain. Car gets pulled around a lot by standing water. However, it does feel in control when letting off the accelerator as it slows down.

Avon ZZS rated 75% while driving a Renault
Driving on track for 100 spirited miles
Had these tyres on a clio 182 used for sprints and hillclimbs, they had good grip and were predictable but do require a little warming up, very good handling due to a very stiff sidewall, good grip in the dry and wet for a 1b list tyre but didn’t compare to the a052 in the dry but do last a lot longer.

Toyo Proxes TR1 rated 93% while driving a Renault
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
I bought my car on June of 2004 with a different brand of tyres (Michelen Pilot sport).
After 3 years, for first time, I put Toyo and I still wear Toyo.
It's my second set of Proxes tr1 and when the time come to change it (I have a lot of miles for this moment, during the lockdown I didn't move the car) I will buy the same or the newest tyre of Toyo

Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 rated 70% while driving a Toyota Corolla
Driving on a combination of roads for 12500 spirited miles
Fairly competent mid tier performance tyre. Same level of grip in all conditions in my experience. Do note that the sidewalls on these are more flexible than rival tyres (at 36-38psi), which can cause sidewall rollover and squealing when cornering hard. Mildly aggressive alignments will destroy these tires in no time too. Aside from that, perfectly fine for most driving, with the grip to keep you safe when the unexpected happens.

Firestone RoadHawk rated 84% while driving a Ford Fiesta mk7
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 average miles
Very safety tyre until to last season, good handling, but very loud, worse than my winter Dębica Frigo 2. After 35 000 km and 5 seasons, still 4mm tread but they start cracking and need replacement. I would buy again as tyre to small car.
