265/75 16 Tyre Review Highlights

Toyo Open Country AT III rated 58% while driving a Toyota Landcruiser
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 average miles
So far for Toyo open country at3 they are a noisy tyre and Toyo not interested in the feedback about the tyres.

Sailun ICE BLAZER WST1 rated 83% while driving a Toyota Tacoma
Driving on mostly motorways for 10 spirited miles
I live in Northern Canada and have to drive 200km (one way) to my mining job: I purchased these tires for my Tacoma once I took the job and knew I was going to constantly be "road tripping" in the winter. I went from constantly needing to use 4x4 on hills and offroad (running BFG KO2) to scampering around in 2wd with minimal drama (running the studded Sailun WST1). Definitely a very solid performing tire when the conditions get sketchy!

Cooper Discoverer AT3 rated 71% while driving a Nissan Pathfinder
Driving on mostly town for 37000 average miles
Ive had these on my 2005 pathfinder 3 years and about 37K miles. They look good, have good traction, and handle well both on and off road. The only negative is that they are really starting to wear even though I rebalance and rotate them every 5000-6000 miles. I don't think I'll get to 50K on them. Based on the wear I probably won't go back to these in the future.

The tyres are very noisy. The tyres are showing signs of cracking after 10000km even though there is at least 3 mm of thread left.

General Grabber X3 rated 93% while driving a Land Rover Discovery 2
Driving on mostly country roads for 15000 spirited miles
I purchased a set of Grabber X3s for my Land rover discovery 2 back in 2020 after i was unable to get replacement cooper ST Maxx in this size after watching the Expedition overland videos on Youtube and previous good experiences with grabber tyres i thought i would give them ago. 2 Years later they have done 15k miles some off road in the Wales around Salisbury plain and around lots of byways and farms in the UK and they have been amazing great grip off road and surprisingly good grip on road wet and dry while yes it isnt a performance low profile tyre it handles very well with some 'excitable' driving. They arent noisy on the road even for mud tyres but they offer great comfort over the rough road conditions of Britain they tyres Bag a little at the bottom but this makes them alot more comfortable than the previous Cooper ST Maxx that was on there before. Sidewalls are very strong and despite trips around sharp rocky tracks i have never had an issue which is nice living in a flinty area of the UK. Tyre wear is good and despite being loaded quite heavily and some very spirited driving they are still averaging between 10-12mm of tread they where 14mm new.

BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO2 rated 59% while driving a Land Rover Defender
Driving on mostly country roads for 20000 spirited miles
These tyres are dual compound and once the initial softer rubber wears away the remaining compound is much harder resulting in poor wet weather grip. Have had the last 3 generations of BFG AT’s and these are the worst in wet conditions.

BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO2 rated 83% while driving a Nissan Xterra
Driving on a combination of roads for 50 spirited miles
I have had several sets of these tires over the last 20 years plus. I have used them in every condition from mountains, slickrock, sand, mud and desert terrain. They have been tough and dependable. Several things impress me like the smooth powerful traction the provided in rocky terrain and sidewall durability. They provide great traction in snowy and wet conditions. Ice and clay type muds are about what you would expect. I have purchased over 6 sets of the tires over the years and have yet to be disappointed by them. My only problem has been tread wear which is mostly a function of the terrain I drive in like lava rocks, sand and sharp limestone. What I find amazing about this tire is the smooth ride once I return to the pavement. It's like riding on a cloud with a little more noise. I have to say BF Goodrich has made many improvements over the years in this tire. I am getting ready to purchase another set of these tires but have also been looking at the Mud Terrain TA KM3 but will probably stick with th All Terrain KO2.

Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV rated 63% while driving a Nissan Xterra
Driving on mostly town for 200 spirited miles
Just bought these in the Mid East for a Nissan Xterra Off-Road. Was looking for something more off-road oriented but they hardly ever have this size in stock here. Since rain was forecast for the first time in the year and the wife and kid were using this car I pulled the trigger and bought these. Previous tyres were downright dangerous on wet, genuinely like driving on slush at best. (Dunlop Grandtrek AT22). Comfort is okay, its somewhat better than previously but with this size sidewall and being a soft sidewall I was expecting more comfort. Noise levels seem to be a bit higher actually. Grip levels are massively increased though. The rain didn't show up so haven't tried that yet, but on dry roads now, I haven't found the limit yet as I'm now rather concerned about accidentally rolling the car since the car isn't losing its grip when it formerly would but instead has a massive amount of body roll (it's a tall 4x4). I'm sure I'll get the courage eventually.. Previously though I'd be dramatically squealing around with loads of understeer and no worries about rolling the car. Also no longer able to spin the rear tyres from a standing start. Previously that would happen anytime I applied full throttle. Both with and without holding the brakes. Looking forward to the expected improvements in the wet, that was the main purpose of the purchase of these tyres anyway. No off-road experience yet, will update when I've tried in the soft sand. Worried about the soft sidewalls though with low pressures, both for a puncture or the tyre slipping off the rim. Will post a new review when I've had more time to thoroughly test them.
