225/60 17 Tyre Review Highlights

Yokohama Geolander AT G015 rated 73% while driving a Subaru Outback
Driving on mostly country roads for 2500 easy going miles
I have these on a 2013 Subaru Outback 2.0 diesel. By and large I have been really pleased with them, they are really good in the wet.
Today they showed their weakness and that was in the snow.
We have had about 5 inch of wet snow, they are not to bad on the fresh stuff but
driving back in my own tracks they were all over the place, not very confidence giving.
Won't be getting another set.

Kormoran Suv Summer rated 90% while driving a Subaru XV 2.0 D
Driving on a combination of roads for 30 average miles
I have never felt more confident driving my car .
I previously had some Yokohama fitted on them they were a disaster on wet and dry.
Once i shifted for tigar the difference was noticeable i feel so much safer really

Bridgestone Alenza 001 rated 93% while driving a Hyundai ix35
Driving on mostly town for 5000 average miles
Have switched to these tyres from Pirelli Cinturato P7 which were very good strong tyres, with the biggest drawback being very stuff compound making the edge piece of rubber to tear off on a gravel road.
Alenza are great touring tyres, being exceptionally quiet on any surface, even gravel. Reminded my of purely Japanese Yokohama Aspec dB I has on my Mazda many years ago.
Tried hard to slip these tyres on a mountain road but was not able to even make them squeak. With G force becoming already well over normal for daily driving, and tyres still standing strong, I can say traction is well over sufficient for most of the drivers.
Wet traction is perfect with almost no braking or steering effect when running into a puddle on highway speeds. Traction on Wet is also great with very nice feedback. Slip does not start by surprise. Tyres give you well enough warning that they reached their lateral traction capabilities for driver to take the foot from the accelerator.
Wear is avarage but I disagree with overall low score as they are still well above avarage wear for even more expensive tyres.
I recommend these for drivers, who like comfort and predictability. These are definitely not sport tyres but are very well performing touring summer tyres.

Bridgestone Weather Control A005 EVO rated 78% while driving a BMW
Driving on a combination of roads for 20 easy going miles
These seem as good as the BMW * rated Pirelli P7 that came as original equipment as a summer tyre and have the advantage of being much safer in cold/snowy weather. Overall, they’ve been a good choice for someone who lives on the south coast with frequent trips up north to see family. But, and this a big one for me, they wear much more quickly at around 25k miles a set compared to the 40k from the Pirelli’s. I’d probably replace them with Michelin Crossclimates or the new Bridgestone Turanza Allseason 6 as/when they become available +/- price at the time.

Laufenn S Fit AS rated 87% while driving a
Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
Purchased these for my 2018 Ssangyong Korando Limited. Previous tyres were Khumo. The Laufenn are easily as good as the tyres I replaced. Very quiet on the road. They have excellent roll while coasting. Braking and handling are excellent with comfortable suspension response.

Hankook Dynapro HP2 RA33 rated 63% while driving a Nissan X Trail 2.5 petrol
Driving on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
Good grip in dry weather and pretty good in the wet except for wet cornering, especially in a roundabout, more so if roundabout is on an incline the car will slide out of control but then the stability control takes over, and helps to stabilise car. Have to drive through roundabouts extra slow. Comfort and noise is excellent though but road feedback isn’t that good.

Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 plus rated 44% while driving a Subaru
Driving on mostly town for 0 average miles
I've had 422Plus on the last two Foresters,a 2020 and a 2022. Ride well, especially wet roads but that could be more the car itself than the tires. The set on the 2020 were worthless after 28000 miles, and the 2022's aren't going to make it that far. Plan to buy another Forester but will insist on tires of my choice before driving home. Ecopia is a great name for a tire with great connotations but Crap-opia is more suitable for this hunk of cheap rubber.

Sava eskimo suv rated 69% while driving a Kia Motors Sportage 2021
Driving on a combination of roads for 16000 average miles
About review in general I would say the tyre is above average. Regarding driving in snow it handles it excellent. It's noisy but compared to price I would recomend it. Mine was made in Germany.

Firestone WeatherGrip rated 52% while driving a Subaru Forester 2.5i
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 easy going miles
2015 Subaru Forester Louder than the previous Gen ArticMax RT43 Bought for possible snow which didn’t occur ** worn to 1-2 mm in just (gauged) in just 37xxx miles which is 57% of the posted expectation These tires were not abused. Only consider WeatherGrip if you expect snow. Otherwise, stay away. PS the Firestone Auto did make a 10% allowance on a new purchase. Unfortunately, I lost more than that on a weak set of tires.

Falken Wildpeak AT rated 73% while driving a Subaru Forester
Driving on mostly country roads for 2000 average miles
When they were new, everything was right but, after 20 000km, they began to suffer from age. The worst was the aquaplanning which became dangerous. I had to slow down a lot to not change track on water spot. It was the first time in my life I felt this unsecure situation. Other, the snow ans ice grip dramatically went down. Very comfortable tire, almost no noise, very good on dry pavement. Very good gas consumption. Everything was perfect until they came to the second part of their life.
