245/45 19 Tyre Review Highlights

Hifly HF805 rated 81% while driving a Mercedes Benz 300ce
Driving on a combination of roads for 33000 average miles
Mercedes 300 on when car purchased 2 years ago, they are nearly three years old. Fine tyres.

Radar Dimax R8 rated 100% while driving a BMW 530D M sport
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
This is a first for me to buy budget tires.
I have to say i am very impressed with the grip and the handling and the comfort much better than the Bridgestone they have replaced.
I don't do reviews but when i was buying these i looked at the reviews and it was a bit mixed, so all i have to say is i have put two tyres on my BMW530d for less than the cost of one from a brand name, and they are brilliant.
i can't tell you how happy i am with them

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 rated 67% while driving a Tesla Model S
Driving on mostly country roads for 9700 easy going miles
I previously had the Goodyear Asymmetric 5 and they lasted 62000km (38500 mi). The Asymmetric 6 lasted less than 16000 km (10000 mi) and in fact they had been done for at least 3000 km since when I was going to rotate the tyres when I saw they were completely flat, I was surprised such a short life; the front ones were a little bit better but almost done as well. Maybe it's a quality problem but I took the car to the same shop and had installed the previous version, the Asymmetric 5. I hope they perform equally as the ones I had 3 years before. I drive very very smoothly and gently and my driving style hasn't changed. I wouldn't buy them again and I wouln't recommed them to anybody eventhough the tyre is silent and the grip is great.

Aplus A607 rated 40% while driving a Mercedes Benz CLS63S
Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
Absolutely do not buy! I got these tires for my beater rims and only in 4000 miles I got a massive bulge in one of them. The tires handled ok in the dry and surprisingly decent for noise level. However, the wet grip is abominable and potholes feels like I crashed the car. For the price is ok but please save your rims because they have no cushioning effects and directly translated damage to my rims and got one of them cracked.

Toyo Proxes Sport rated 83% while driving a Ford G6ETurbo 50th Anniversary
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 spirited miles
Put these on to replace the toyo r888rs I had on, with 440bhp and limited spirited driving, they lasted 6000kms. Have travelled 5000kms on these and wow, out perform the r888rs by a country mile and with a ton of tread left. Treadwear is actually very surprising to say the least. Definitely a quality budget performance tyre option.

Hankook Ventus iON S rated 75% while driving a Tesla Model S
Driving on mostly country roads for 5000 spirited miles
After the preliminary review (200 miles - Tesla Model S, 11 Aug 2023) I thought I'd come back with extra thoughts several thousand miles in:

- The efficiency gains is accurate, these helped me get some of the lowest Wh/mile I've achieved in my Model S covering quite some miles in France over the summer, and then over the autumn. I've had my MS for 130k miles so have a good feel on what is achievable, and they did very well.
- They are definitely more refined from a noise perspective.

However - I do drive "enthusiastically" and having driven them a lot more now I can state confidently that these tyres are greasier than the PS5s I had before. They are progressive in their loss of grip, so you have good feeling and there's not a moment of surprise where you suddenly lose your back-end, which obviously is a positive, and therefore I was not uncomfortable driving these, but in dry cornering they just don't hold up as well as I would want, and you feel the car sliding a little.

My wife also has a Model S with these tyres on. She is not an aggressive driver but she also noticed that they are greasier too.

I've since sold my MS and have a X. When the summer tyres on that need replacing I am very unlikely to buy these again (if they even do the size) - I just miss the grip too much. For my wife, we may stick with the Hankook's for the efficiency/noise as she is not an aggressive driver and the cost saving, and refinement/efficiency are probably worth the compromise on grip.

Minerva Radial F 205 rated 94% while driving a Renault
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
Hello ,
I have always opted for A brand tires all my life
I think safety is important
Now I came across an acquaintance who had just installed new tires
The Minerva 205
He told me, I have to buy this tire!!
Looking for some information and reviews
Still took the leap
And I have to say, I don't regret it for a second. The grip is the same as the A brand tires
Sound, same
The only thing I immediately felt was how soft the car is now
More comfort than before
A pit is a pit. You continue to feel that, but he finishes everything a little better
I drive sporty and sometimes accelerate quickly and sometimes brake too late
The Minerva F205 has no problem with this
A little rain or a lot, it will stick to the track
You shouldn't do anything crazy and go to the limited with your car!!
What surprises me now is the price for my 19-inch tires
Michelin, Goodyear, which I always priced between 150 and 250 euros just for the tire
Now place 108 euros (all in) if you buy the Minerva F205 you will not regret it

Sunny NA305 rated 35% while driving a Kia Motors Sportage
Driving on mostly town for 1000 average miles
Sunny NA305 tyres must be the worst tyres I have experienced on a car in my 40 years of driving. I replaced my 2 front tyres with a set early August when the weather was a little better.
In the dry, the tyres squeal on corners when driving round town, as if they are running soft. In the wet, trying to pull away with any power causes wheelspins and traction control light to come on.
Cornering in the wet is awful. I have noticed it especially coming onto roundabouts where the road surface might be a little more greasy than normal, the front end of the car just gives up grip and will slide. They give no confidence whatsoever driving in the rain, so will not push them to any limits for fear of ending up in a ditch.
I will be returning to the garage I bought them to advise them of the problems, if they value their reputation, they will source another alternate budget tyre.
I am going to try them on the rear axle to see how they perform, but will be expecting the car to have slightly different handling issues. Lesson learned, it was all the garage had in stock at the time, and gave me assurance they were of comparable quality to the tyres they replaced. I will never buy a budget tyre again. I wouldn't even fit these to a wheelbarrow.

Hankook Ventus iON S rated 84% while driving a Tesla Model S
Driving on mostly country roads for 200 spirited miles
Given there aren't any consumer reviews on here yet, I thought I'd give my preliminary view after running them maybe 200 miles.

I bought these off the back of an autobild comparison on the exact car I have (Model S, 19" alloys) where they outperformed the OEM and where about par with Pilot Sport 5 (which is what I was running before).

So far, I'm broadly in agreement with that comparison. Pros vs PS5 (or PS4 which I had before that, or Primacy 3 OEM which it came with)

- Quieter: without a shadow of doubt. Makes the car feel more refined.
- Efficiency: hard to be 100% sure yet, as driving style, weather, temperature etc affect the efficiency of EVs, but I do believe that there is an improvement in line with that mentioned in the autobild review (~5%)
- Price: I think it was about £730 for 4 tyres vs £850 for PS5

Cons:
- Handling in dry is perhaps marginally worse, but I'm being quite picky on that. I'd say that they are ever so slightly greasier in corners, but it's marginal. It could even be due to the new compound not being worn enough.

TBC:
- Handling in wet
- Longevity

So far I'm not displeased. Will try to remember to come back in a few months time when I've driven 5-6k miles.

Dynamo STREET H MU02 rated 93% while driving a Mercedes Benz Vito
Driving on for 15 average miles
Read the reviews,
Ordered a set 3 months ago and, they are great tyres but do seem to wear ok, did around 15000 miles and nearly on the wear marker , but have to add its an 8 seater Mercedes Vito van with 163 bph so on the traction axle that’s I guess not abnormal…
Great road response, road noises ok.
Would recommend them definitely for the price/ quality.
