275/60 20 Tyre Review Highlights

Nokian Outpost nAT rated 77% while driving a Toyota Tundra 2021
Driving on a combination of roads for 1000 spirited miles
This is an H rated tire which is fairy unusual for this particular size, especially in an AT configuration. Even more unusual is that this tire has A ratings for both traction and temperature. Something that Michelin or Bridgestone...doesn't appear to have in either their AS or AT configurations.

Needles to say, Nokian's specs on the Outpost nAT peaked my interests. I was looking for a slightly more aggressive replacement for a set of Continental TerrianContact H/T tires while maintaining both A ratings and an H speed rating.

The Outpost nAT handling is better than average in both dry and wet. Grip is realistically about the same in dry or wet (8.5) which is pretty amazing. Feedback is fairly good, really about the same as the Continentals. They are on a Toyota Tundra, which really isn't noted for great road feedback in the first place.

Snow grip is really great, but more importantly the off-road grip is really good. The primary reason that I was venturing toward an AT style tire in the first place. The physical sidewall protection gives an extra measure of comfort that AS tires just can't provide.

The only detractor for this tire is that it's a bit noisy (i.e. it does sing a bit at highway speeds). You don't have to raise the volume of the radio or while speaking, it's just a noise presence that wasn't there with the AS tires.

It's mildly amusing that the Nokian is apparently considered "mid-tier" while the "top-tier" Michelin and Bridgestone would appear to not carry A ratings for traction and temperature. These are government ratings that have been in place since...1979. One would think that obtaining an "A" rating in 2024 would be a cake walk.

Pirelli Scorpion ATR rated 60% while driving a Ford
Driving on mostly town for 50 average miles
Almost 50k miles on 2022 f150. Shocked when I inspected tires. Three tires had steel belts showing 100 percent highway miles good front end alignment. Replaced with goodyear

Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 rated 77% while driving a GMC Sierra 1500 SLT
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
These are some of the smoothest riding tires I've had. With that said I wouldn't buy them again and I'm sorry I bought them in the 1st place. The compound is too soft. With the tires inflated properly when I run over a small pothole it feels like I went through a hole one foot deep. It also feels like the tires compress all the way to my rim practically. They don't feel stable as far as how easy it is to stay in your lane with ease. You have to adjust your steering a bit more than other tires I've had. That may be because of what I call the soft compound. Also, I've never seen a tire that fluctuates in tire pressure so much so quickly. As soon as I pull out of my driveway the tires all change from 35 to 39 within seconds. they never end up the same while on the road. I know I can put Nitrogen in them to help with that but my point is that these change so much while driving you never end up with all four feeling the same. Today will be different than tomorrow and so on. I've been driving for 48 years and I've owned dozens of cars and trucks. I've also sold vehicles for a living. In my opinion these tires aren't appropriate for a standard 1500 series pickup truck. I read that these are approved for regular pickup trucks but I disagree. They are very smooth though and they grip the road just fine.

Bridgestone Dueler HT 684 rated 64% while driving a Nissan Arrmada
Driving on mostly town for 32000 easy going miles
These tires were fitted from the factory when we purchased our Armada brand new. My wife drives it specifically to commute to work and dropping off and picking up our kiddos from daycare. There is no extreme driving involved. All other aspects of this tire such as dry, wet, snow, and dirt are great, but the wear and durability is by far the worst I've ever experienced with any Bridgestone tire. I've used the potenza s04 pole positions and was very impressed with these on my corvette. Granted its a different car and weight difference, but this particular tire, Dueler HT 684, is a complete waste of money to spend on if you have a choice in tire. You'd expect a 60k mile tire to at least last to 30k miles. These things were done by 32k. All well before the Texas heat. I can only imagine how much quicker they would wear out in a Texas summer. Stay away from these. Dont say I did'nt warn you.

Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus rated 89% while driving a Chevrolet
Driving on mostly country roads for 50000 easy going miles
I have had these tires on my 2016 Silverado for 50K miles and it is time to get another set. I have used them lightly off road mostly on dirt and gravel tracks with 2 back country trips with more. Overall I am super happy with the tires the sidewall blocks and tread may look aggressive but the road manners are excellent. I will warn others that on my truck the factory tire pressure is 32 since it is a Highcountry I guess that is what the dealership always puts it at. By doing that with the stiffer than normal sidewalls of this tire I did wear way faster on the edges both in and out than the middle of the tire. After noticing this I increased the pressure for the last 20K and I will say this tire is way better at 35-38 PSI than at 32. It does get firmer but handing is better will less slop during corning. I will 100% be buying another set and my wear score may be better next time with proper pressure. As far as snow and Ice handing the siping is still visible in the middle of the tread even with low tread available happy to see that. The few times on the snow I have had I was also impressed and was a huge improvement on the regular All Seasons the truck had when I bought it. Overall if you spend most of time on the road but want the looks and ability to do some light off road this would be a great option for anyone.

Continental TerrainContact AT rated 91% while driving a Ram 1500 4wd
Driving on mostly motorways for 59 spirited miles
Quiet tires on the road. Rated for 60k and buying a new set next week with 300 miles short of the 60k guarantee. Have driven these in snow and ice with better than average results for traction. Great during heaving rains with freeway driving.

Rovelo Ridgetrak AT rated 96% while driving a Dodge ram 1500
Driving on a combination of roads for 5500 average miles
Great tire - nice looking and performs amazingly. Switched from a Wrangler stock on my 2019 Ram - this tire out performs it by heaps. Traction is 100% better than the, supposedly, superior Wrangler stock tire at the same exact dimensions of this tire. Very satisfied so far - I would say about 12000km’s now -

Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus rated 96% while driving a Dodge ram 1500
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 spirited miles
I have about 500 miles on these tires. They ride great on the road dry and mud traction are both excellent . We had a ice storm a few days ago where I saw 7 vehicles and 2 tractor trailers in the ditch or median. I didn't have the slightest slip with these tires. Wet traction is very good also with only a little pull in deep standing water.
As for gas milage I have noticed about .5 mpg decline which is nothing when going from stock goodyear SRAs to an AT tire.
