I have these tyres fitted to my w204 2008 C230 in the 225/45R17 size, and they are very good. On the dry, as long as the temperature is still low, they will perform well, but if the temp goes over 20 C, they will start to become bad at braking. Same thing for the wet. In the Snow and Ice, they are extremely good, the fact that I could climb a fairly hard incline at -11 degrees C with snow and ice in a RWD says all you need to know about these tires. I also drove them during a blizzard where the snow was about 10-20cm high, it still went through them with ease.

I've just put mine back on for at the start of their third winter. I'd agree with the other reviewer here that they completely transfer the ability of an E91 three series BMW to drive in the wintery conditions that seem to be more common. With the standard tyres my touring became un-drivable in snow or ice with the 55s it had on the rear - with these on (supplied as a package with wheels from BMW) the car is transformed and easily negotiates both fresh and compacted snow and ice. I used them for six months last winter as the low temperatures lasted well into April and they seem to be lasting well.

I used these tyres last winter and now they are put on my car again. On snow they drive very well. On ice ABS & ESP may flash, but it is still OK. On dry and above freezing temperature, their braking distance is longer than the 17 inch summer tyres.

As compared to the summer run flat tyres, they are much softer, silent and comfortable. The steering wheel is much lighter. The tyre wear is negligible too. If the summer run flat tyres are half as good, I believe that much more people will stay with run flat tyres instead of going to "normal" tyres.

I fitted these to my BMW E92 330i Coupe because when it snows I really struggle to get the quarter mile from my house to the main road. I did lots of research and couldn't believe the universally positive reviews given to winter tyres generally - I didn't believe they could be THAT good. Believe me they are. I am simply astounded at the amount of grip and therefore confidence they give me - it almost defies the laws of physics. On Sunday night we had 6 inches of snow - the most we've had in one overnight dumping in all the years I can remember. I checked it out on foot and there was NO WAY I would have got past the first corner with my summer tyres on. I drove out almost as if there was no snow ! On the most tricky bit (90 degree left, onto an uphill slope) I didn't even see the traction control light flash - it just pulled. I honestly believe my german sledge is 90% as good as a 4x4 - and better when you consider the fact that I can steer and stop when going downhill. They are honestly, genuinely amazing - if I had realised how good I would have bought them years ago. I walked round the office on Monday with a grin from ear to ear - all day.

I have purchased these tyres for my E85 BMW Z4 2.2 automatic. I took off the 225/45/R17 Birdgestone Potenza tyres and BMW wheels and fitted after market 16" wheels with 205/55/R16 91H. I am still keeping the 6 bags of sand and grvel over the rear axle and can only say that so far these tyres have been outstanding. Was amazed as it ground through thick choppy snow in the uncleared works car park. I live on a hill and have to negotiate two uphill bends from the main road to my house. No problem in 4 inches of snow. No discernable difference in handling from my summer tyres. Very little increase in noise. These tyres have not won any winter tyre tests, but reading other blogs BMW drivers seem to rate them highly and I suspect that they are one of the better choices in their RFT guise. The only thing that concerned me was the availability of replacements should I get a flat, so I bought six. If I.m luck enough to avoid punctures then I expect the rears fronts to outlast the rears, so six actually makes sense. ALthough these tyres are an outgoing model the tyres I bought in November 2010 from a large european online distributir were manufactured in week 43 of 2010.

Blizzak LM25 RFT.The uk winters are becoming less predictable every year and with temps going below zero i am glad i fitted winter tyres to my vehicle. The added grip in these conditions has helped me go through 4 inches of snow which surpised me. The tyres are not only safer in these conditions but the tread pattern allows effective dispersal of slush on the road. if you own a rear wheel drive vehicle i think it should be on top of your shopping list.
