Nokian Line Reviews - Page 4

Given 97% while driving a Mercedes Benz C180 (205/55 R16) on mostly town for 6,500 easy going miles
I am from Singapore and it is summer everyday with plenty of rain. I replaced my stock tyres, Michelin Energysaver, for the Nokian Line on my Mercedes C180 in Feb 15 and since clocked abt 10000km.

The Nokian Line has got very good dry and wet grips. For the Energysaver, each time i stepped hard on my brakes on wet roads, the car's ABS would kick in and skit forward. I had many heart in mouth moments. With the Nokian Line, no such problems, fantastic grip on wet roads. The wear is also good, hardly any wear after 10000km of mainly town driving.

However, as compared to the Energysaver, the Nokian Line is noisier. I supposed that is because it has better traction and i can live with it. Also, the Nokian is cheaper then the Michelins or Contis with the same performance range, i will definitely buy these tyres again if can find it in Singapore. Its quite sad there is no dealership here in my country.

Given 94% while driving a Saab Automobile 95 linear estate (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
Bought these to replace Avon ZV5s on the front of my SAAB prior to making a round Europe trip of over 4500 miles. Since then I've done another 3500 miles and there's hardly a sign of wear. I'd have expected such little wear from a tyre that is very hard with little grip, but these are fantastic!

Hard to break traction even on slippery surfaces and goes through rain soaked roads like the water isn't there. Good feel with quite a progressive transition at the point where it starts to let go.

Very happy with these tyres and they are much better than the Avons and better than the Michelins which were on before that. Certainly will buy again.

Given 100% while driving a Lancia (185/60 R14 T) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Dry and wet grip are perfect. Cornering and straight line stability are really stable. I recommended this tires, I was tested in all condition and never to now wasn't given any problem.

I have summer seasone Nokian Line 205/55/R16 on my Fiat Stilo 1.9JTD. These tyres are great, for rain very very good. If I would buy tyres again, definitely I will buy them again.

Given 96% while driving a Subaru Legacy (215/45 R17 V) on mostly motorways for 10,000 spirited miles
Bought these tyres on the reviews here, they were all great basically, I have 10000km done on them now, they're great, reviews weren't wrong, smooth, comfortable, handling, even in the snow a while ago (unsanded motorway at 4.30am), not a budge, (and I wasn't crawling)
But I will say, diesel consumption has gone up a little bit, from 6L/100km to 6.2L/100km, and low rolling is written on the side of them, but that is my only gripe, wear so far is good too.

Given 84% while driving a Volkswagen Golf Mk6 (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
First time buyer of Nokian tyres and I am not dissapointed, they are very compatible to any premium brand.
Very good tyres, very stable and firmly solid planted grip on the road, very good for fast country roads and for high speed driving on curvy and straight highways /motorways, good precise steering feel/response, I feel very safe with these tyres.
Dry grip is very good, for this tyre size I give them full 10 points.
Wet grip is also good although they slip slightly sooner in curves than my previous good tyres but it is no problem and a very small difference.
Rather predictable before they loose grip although sometimes they can be a little bit snappy on wet roads but it is no problems.
Very good braking on dry and wet, traction is also good but not perfect, I think however this is more a problem with the car itself.
I'm a little bit surprised regarding the comfort/noise level on these Nokian tyres considering the comfort orientated reputation Nokian has and the very good comfort reviews they get both on this site and in magazines.
I think the comfort is good but firm, it is suitable for my VW Golf and I like this solid and stable feeling on my VW but if you want a more soft and floating feeling on your ride then there might be other tyres that is better for that, off course depending on what car you drive.
On my car the noiselevel is good but slightly higher than my previous tyres, again a little surprised about that but no problems.
The wear rate seems to be very good, it is much better compared to my previous tyres, it is good economy and they are probably safe for a very long time.
Very satisfied with these Nokian tyres, they fit my car very well, I have nothing bad to say about them, the only thing that I sometimes miss a little bit is the soft floating feeling my previous tyres had especially in city driving and bumpy roads.
I recommend these tyres and I would buy them again maybe with the exception of extrem need for soft and supersilent comfort.

as long as you check your wheel alignment once a year these will last for quite a long mileage... a "must have" tire definitely-no complaints at all.

Given 100% while driving a Alfa Romeo Mito Multiair (135 hp) 13 (195/55 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 21,850 spirited miles
BOY have these things transformed my Alfa Romeo Mito 1.4 Multiair (135 hp) into a great handler! She was always very good indeed but with these things... wow... she grips excellently even in the wet now, let alone in the dry.

It's not only that. They are quiet, comfortable, wear fantastically well for my driving style, provide excellent feedback... I've been using them for 15 months now, they still look brand new, although I do check the alignment three times a year.

Will I buy again? Hands down and with eyes shut - definitely!!

Given 100% while driving a Fiat 500 1.3 Multijet (185/55 R15 H) on mostly country roads for 30,750 spirited miles
This is a mid-range tire that puts Premium brands to shame...

Can't rate this tire below 10/10 anywhere!!! Recommended 100%.

Given 100% while driving a Jaguar S type 3.0 (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 23,000 spirited miles
I had been reading the reviews of the Nokian Line tire here and as my old Pirelli's needed changing, I decided to go for these.

It is obvious the previous reviewers weren't exaggerating... these tires have contributed to a total transformation of my 2002 Jag S-Type 3.0 V6 as far as aggressive driving is concerned, the grip they provide is far better than the Pirelli's I had, braking power immense, very little noise in the cabin, precise handling and feedback, and after 23,000 miles driven in an offensive manner (mostly), they are still at 3.0 mm both front and rear.

I am definitely going to get another set of these when the current ones are worn out, I am sure I'll be able to squeeze another 15,000 miles out of them easily. I'd easily say overall they are far better than what most Premium brands can offer, having tried both Goodyears, Conti's and Pirellis.

What a tire. Go for them hands down, don't bother giving it any thought - you'll be rewarded immediately. I know I was.
