Top 3 Toyo T1S Reviews

Given 73% while driving a Nissan 200sx (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 11,000 spirited miles
well, what can I say?
Mixed BAG!
In the cold and wet, useless.
In wet when tires are at operating temp, very good.
dry, very good, too cold, very bad, too hot, rather bad.
however I always feel it, but really nervous in the wet in the autumn as I live in Norway where it gets rather cold.
and I got 300++ wheel horsepower.
These tires must be perfect a bit further south for those who only do spirited driving a very limited amount of time once they do push their car a bit.
Cannot fault them on some of the fun bits to and back from work, but that's where their performance stops.
wear have been very good!

so rated for what they are, and they are not a all out performance tire, for us who wants alot of fun, go elsewhere :)

Given 29% while driving a BMW E46 M3 CS (255/35 R19) on mostly country roads for 5,000 average miles
Really don't get what all the hype is about. they are dreadful tyres! Average in the dry and scary in the wet. Had them on for just under 5000 miles and have had enough of them.

Given 44% while driving a Volkswagen mk2 golf gti heavily modified (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Absolutely shocking tyres in the wet, they just lose traction wayyyy to easily. Not too bad in the dry, would avoid like the plague in future. Most of the £20 specials I've had on some of my cars have inspired more confidence in bad weather conditions.

Perhaps good for drifters?!

Worst tyre ever. went round a corner not fast same speed as the car in front and the back broke away evan with 4WD. It changed the way i drove i should of stuck with the Goodyear F1

Given 80% while driving a MINI Cooper S Works (205/40 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
I have to say I cannot believe TOYO discontinued this tyre. For the money it is excellent. Perfect feel and balance and awesome dry grip. Wet grip is also very good but would be dependant on the type of car you have.

Mine is pretty torquey but on say a NA car that produces peak torque higher you will probably find these more suitable.

Wear is very good, feel through the steering wheel excellent and gorgeous tread pattern. Bring them back!!

Given 81% while driving a Vauxhall 1.4 auto mk3 (195/50 R15 V) on mostly country roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Vastly better tyre that replaced it(T1R).
All in all a very safe predictable tyre, that won't catch you out, though takes a good few miles(500) before they grip thier best, very quiet tyre too, had the T1R afterwards, which was a flop in my opinion, bring back the S model

Given 64% while driving a Toyota Celica GT4 (225/45 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Wear rate is far too high.
Beyond that, A good and mostly underrated performance tyre. Though leaves me feeling like there's more can be had maybe, and so will be trying something else next time....but only out of curiosity.

Takes forever to run the tyres in. About 100 miles of atrociously low grip levels. Then suddenly, the tyre came into it's own.

Managed the journey to and from the nurburgring. And 3 quick laps of it, with very little complaint. Lots of feedback. And you really know when they were going to let go.

weak side walls.

Nice rim protection for alloys.

You'll have to drive recklessly for these to let you down wet or dry. High degree of confidence. Very good traction. Exceptional wear/performance tyre for very reasonable price.

Fairly average tyre but fairly cheap so no real surprise!

Get what you pay for I guess.
