i put these on my c4gp 2.0hdi vtr+ egs,found this tyres to be spot on, improved handling, and change the feel of the car which was a smoother ride and more response, noise seemed reduce compared to michelins, 3k done wear is minimal, found these excelent in wet, price resonable £75 each, and seem on par with if not better than michelins which are over priced, all round v.good, will buy again.

I'm from Portugal, I have this tyres more than a year.
In the first kilometers I thought this was an awful tyres. After a while it reveals to be an excellent tyre, dry is perfect, wet is excellent. A litlle noise when we enter in the corner to fast, but... its grip its all about!
Certainly I will buy it again!!

These tyres are fabulous in the wet weather. They've been on the rear of my Focus for a while before being transferred to the front. I'm quite hard on my tyres; I throw the car into corners and am heavy with my right foot, but these tyres never let me down, come rain or shine. The only slight issue I have had is mild understeer on wet roundabouts, but a heavy diesel engine and slightly high entry speed may have something to do with that! Would definitely recommend and would buy again!

Me again. This time theyre on a 2000 mk4 Golf 1.8t, c.200bhp.

Same opinion about these tyres as i have of them on my other golf, a very good wet and dry tyre.

Bought this car last summer, it came with some nasty remould tyres and the car felt plain dangerous, esp after i started adding more power to it.

The car was needed for a drive to Newcastle (300miles +) each way, the other half was driving, so i wanted it to be nice and safe.

the tyre really doesnt disappoint. road noise is a tad high but its a really confidence inspiring tyre, wet or dry.

the tyre real party piece is how it performed in the snow. totally epic, the car was able to go places it had no right to go, only got stuck once in 8 inches of snow on top of compacted ice.

15k miles on these so far and quite easily 3mm-4mm left

I put these on an Omega which previously was lethal in the wet. After I fitted these it would drive like it was on rails, wet or dry - highly recommended.

Made the car feel safe and secure

To the guy who might buy Michelin, the test I read in some prominent uk magazine, on 195/65/15's rated Vredestein in First Place, and Michelin in 16th place.
I was surprised but I bought them and they are superb, especially in the wet, which is the most important thing for any tyre.
Highly recommended, although I do wonder if they may be wearing out a bit rapidly, like the Goodyear Hydragrips I had, which were also excellent in the wet.

Replaced rears a month ago, fronts due imminently. Noticed the difference straight away when I first bought these, changing form dunlop, especially in the wet. Not too noisey. Starting to get a little noiser as I approach 2mm, and perhaps grip not what it was. Not great in snow at 2-3mm either, but fine before that before that.

I had these put on to replace Michelin Energy tires to have a bit more grip. Tires are good and give a more direct feel to steering but they feel a bit uncertain in corners - they have full grip but they don't always give this impression. Fuel use did go up after the Engery tires but I feel that while the steering became more direct I did not get back enough extra grip to warrant this extra use. Big downside is fast wear, only 8000km of which mostly highway and less than 5mm of profile left. Not a bad tire but I am trying a different one next.

i rate Vreddys highly, the Ultracs are impressive in Sport mode but these Sportrac3's are not for spirited driving at all, they skid/loose traction in wet but not dangerously, they grip pedictably, though they are my winter set of wheels so see worse weather then other set they are OK, i hear Sportrac2's are better than these but have never used them.
after 4 yrs of winters I have to replace them (all4) x1 has an inside bleb (v.dangerous) 1 is ok 2-3mm, other 2 are on limit, they last well, and performance didn't tail off.

I fitted these to my golf in February 2010. I've covered maybe 4k-5k miles since then

The first thing that I found with this tyre was that there was almost no "scrub in" period needed. They worked very well right from the off.

It's the sort of tyre where is not a marked difference between wet and dry performance so definitely promotes confidence. In the dry you'll hear them screech sooner than you'd expect but they maintain grip as well as response (i.e. car still adjustable)

Very confidence inspiring in the wet, but I've not had an emergency stop situation yet. Turn-in response stays good. Grip levels are higher than you'll need for typical "spirited driving", if you're going to drive like a complete tool, no tyre will save you anyway. I have found that I am getting more scrabble coming away from slow corners compared to my old kumho ku31s... but I did change my suspension lately and I am still dialling in the damping.

These tyres won't leave your typical driver, or even enthusiastic driver, wanting. Ultimate grip levels are a shade lower than those of the kumho ku31, but I do admit I like the way the vredesteins respond more faithfully to inputs.

After reading the reviews I decided to buy these over the Conti Sport Contact 2s. Wish I went for the Contis now. It's a great tyre but it's not as good as the Michelins it replaced. Car doesn't feel as stable on the limit but the grip in the wet is slightly better than the Michelins. I'm not sure if it doesn't suit the Golf Mk5 or whether it's the tyre. Don't get me wrong it's a good tyre with grip, just not as much as I was expecting.
